Chapter 54
Afraid that Edmund would bring up the divorce again, Nyasia
cried and made a scene for a while, then claimed she needed to
rest and sent him away.
Picking up the mirror and seeing her sallow face reflected back
at her, she gritted her teeth in hatred, cursing Kaneeta a
thousand times over in her heart.
It was all Kaneeta’s fault, driving her to such a miserable state!
From now on, she would carry this stain on her reputation!
The more she thought about it, the angrier she became.
Suddenly, something occurred to Nyasia. She grabbed her
phone impatiently and opened her video app.
She wanted to see how much attention her dance video had
gotten.
Before she was taken to the detention center, she had seen that
the video was already very popular, with the comments section
full of praise for her and some criticizing Kaneeta, which made
her feel quite pleased.
Chapter 54
By now, there should be even more comments, right?
But when she opened the app, she discovered her account had been banned–permanently.
Not only that, but all the videos she had posted before had been
deleted.
What was going on?
Nyasia was completely baffled.
She tried searching on other video platforms. After her dance
video became popular, many people had re–uploaded it, so it
should have been available elsewhere too.
But she couldn’t find it anywhere!
No matter how she searched, there wasn’t a single trace of the
video.
Her video had actually been wiped from the entire internet!
Just as she was seething with anger and confusion, she
suddenly received a message from the president of the dance
club.
“Sorry, Ms. Kuntz. After internal discussion, our club has
unanimously decided to ask you to leave. We’ve already posted
Chapter 54
an official statement on our website. From now on, your actions
have nothing to do with our club.”
Nyasia’s mind went blank with a loud buzz.
“What do you mean! Why are you kicking me out of the club?”
As soon as she sent the message, she saw a red exclamation
mark appear next to her chat window.
The president had actually blocked her!
And she had been kicked out of the club’s group chat as well.
Nyasia nearly ground her teeth to pieces.
Although this dance club was just a private organization, it was
quite large and not purely for entertainment–it had
connections with several dance associations.
Most importantly, she was known as the “Dancing Queen” in
the club.
But now that the club had kicked her out, who would still
recognize her as the “Dancing Queen“?
If word got out, she would become a laughingstock!
Was this Kaneeta’s doing again?
Chapter 54
No, ever since Kaneeta’s leg was crippled two years ago, she
hadn’t participated in any club activities and had no contact
with anyone in the club.
Could it be Woodrow this time?
A chill suddenly ran down Nyasia’s spine.
Woodrow had actually gone this far for Kaneeta, even taking
care of something like this?
Was he truly serious about Kaneeta?
If so, then Kaneeta had found herself a powerful backer! The
Hartwell family was one of the four great families of Roseburn,
and in recent years, they were even poised to take the top spot. Many people privately called Woodrow the heir to Roseburn!
Granted, the Kuntz family was also a prominent family, but
compared to the Hartwell family in Roseburn…
Nyasia’s heart tightened again and again. She wanted to go to
Edmund and tell him about this, but then she remembered how
hard she had just worked to keep him from filing for divorce. If
she went to him about this now, would it upset him?
Forget it. At least she could still dance, while Kaneeta would be
a cripple for the rest of her life.
Chapter 54
As for Woodrow, maybe he was only interested in Kaneeta for
the moment. A man of his status–how could he possibly give
his heart to just one woman?
