picked up the glass of champagne beside him. “I know a lot of
things. You’d better not provoke me. Otherwise, I won’t be able
to control myself. I’ll just leak some news online. Who do you
think will be more embarrassed then?”
With that, Aria ignored Autumn’s ugly expression and walked
past her into the banquet.
The banquet was coming to an end. Aria looked at Old Master
Vaughn and smiled happily.
He did not seem to have any intention of breaking off the
engagement with Whitmore family people.
Aria was a little anxious. Logan regretted it?

grandfather and asked him why he wanted to break off the
engagement.
Grandpa said, “Ask Aria.” Then, he left.
Asher caught up with Aria at the door. “Aria, why did Grandpa
suddenly propose to break off the engagement at the banquet?”
“I asked him. He asked me to ask you why!”
Aria turned around and looked at Asher. “If I told Logan that I
had cancer and was about to die, would you believe me?“Asher
was speechless. Clearly, he did not believe it. “How could you…”
Aria interrupted him coldly. “Why not? You don’t believe what I
said, so why are you asking me? Let go!”
Aria struggled, trying to escape.
From now on, they no longer had anything to do with each
other. She no longer had to pretend to be someone else and
please others.
But why did she still feel a little sad?
Thinking about her free life in the future, she was happy.Asher

Asher tried to break free. “Who are you? Why are you pulling
me? Let go!”
Aria wanted to look back, but his line of sight was blocked by
Mike. “Ms. Whitmore, Mr. Rhodes told you to wait for him in the
car. Come with me!”
She lowered her head and thought for a moment before
following Mike into Bennett’s car.
She was done with Asher. Although she had imagined this scene
many times, none of them was like this.She had thought that
Asher would question her and that he would not believe that
she was about to die.
The only thing he did not expect was that Bennett would come
over to help.
She thought that Bennett should have been invited over as a
business upstart.
After all, he was only the CEO of a small company now. Not
many people knew his true identity.
Ten minutes later, Bennett returned.
After drinking at the banquet, Aria clearly smelled the alcohol

Aria sat up straight. “Thank you for helping me today!”
“Alright,” Bennett replied and did not continue. He closed his
eyes to rest.
She thought that Bennett would ask her about what happened
today, but the car was very quiet. It was so quiet that one could
hear a pin drop.There was an invisible pressure that made Aria
uneasy.
“Logan proposed to break off the engagement today. Actually, I
had already told him about my condition when I was
hospitalized. I waited for a month before he finally announced
it.”
