ch 25 On a beach in the Maldives, Charlotte lay on a lounger enjoying the sun while Ethan, wearing beach shorts and sunglasses, handled company business.
Since arriving, Ethan had been constantly working, never taking a break.
Charlotte suggested he return home, but he refused.
Sometimes, Charlotte found it quite ironic.
“I’ve told you not to stay here with me. If you can’t let go of work, just go back. Why force yourself?”
“I’m not forcing anything. Who said I was?”
Ethan had just finished an international conference call and was catching his breath on a lounger.
“I’ve arranged scuba diving for you later. Want to try it?”
