Chapter 7
At eight o’clock that evening, when Charlotte arrived at the Crimson private room, Mason and Sophia were already there.
Standing outside the door, she clearly saw Mason teaching Sophia how to play darts.
He stood behind her, one arm around her waist, the other holding her right hand, patiently instructing: “Like this, then aim carefully, and throw with force!”
The dart hit the target, and Sophia nearly jumped with excitement.
“Amazing! Mason, you’re so good.”
Sophia turned her head, whispering in his ear: “Mason…”
Unable to resist any longer, he lowered his head to kiss her, his hand sliding under her blouse.
“Mmm, don’t. They’ll be here any minute.”
Sophia stopped his hand. Mason restrained himself and nibbled her earlobe. “Alright, I’ll let you off for now. But when we get home…”
Witnessing this scene, Charlotte felt a pain so intense she could barely breathe.
She composed herself, took a deep breath, and pushed the door open.
Seeing her, Mason’s expression instantly changed. “Why are you so late?”
“Would I be interrupting your fun if I’d come earlier?”
Charlotte sat down in a corner. Soon, several clients arrived.
“Well, who’s this lovely young lady? Mr. Sullivan, you’re holding out on us! Aren’t you going to introduce us?”
“Mr. Wallace, this is Sophia Klein, our company’s newly appointed advertising director. Today’s proposal is her design. I hope you’ll give this newcomer a chance!”
“Of course, of course!”

Mr. Wallace smiled as he browsed through the proposal. “Well done! It has Ms. West’s style! Your company truly breeds
talent!”
Charlotte smiled coldly from the side. Of course it had her style–the entire proposal was her work.
“Playing darts? Ms. Klein, show us how it’s done!”
Another client spoke up: “Just playing like this is boring, isn’t it?”
Sophia pouted her red lips. “I think so too. Mason, if only we had a human target…”
Mason’s gaze suddenly fell on Charlotte in the corner,
Charlotte met his eyes in disbelief, then heard him say: “Charlotte, our guests are bored. Don’t you think you should entertain them? Come over here and be Sophia’s target.”

Charlotte blinked, her eyes instantly reddening.
“Mason, do you realize what you’re saying?”
“Charlotte, you wouldn’t want today’s proposal to fall through, would you? Come here, or else your mother…”
“Enough.”
Charlotte bit her lip and walked to the wall, holding an apple above her head and standing still.
“Won’t this be dangerous? What if I hurt Charlie?”
Mason embraced her, his voice gentle: “Don’t worry. With me here, these little darts can’t kill anyone. At worst, there might be
a little blood.”
Hearing his words, Charlotte felt like a piece of her heart had been brutally cut away.
Once upon a time, even a small scratch that drew a little blood would make him distressed beyond measure.
But now, he didn’t care if she lived or died.
“Here I go.”
Sophia closed her eyes and threw a dart forcefully toward Charlotte.
The first dart grazed her face.
The second dart stabbed directly into her arm. Charlotte could barely endure the pain.
Sophia timidly said: “Charlie’s hurt. Maybe we should stop?”
“Don’t rush. Finish what’s in your hand and we’ll stop.”
Mason held her hand and personally threw dart after dart at Charlotte.
Her body was soon filled with darts, the pain almost unbearable.
The final dart finally hit the apple on her head.
But Charlotte couldn’t hold on anymore and collapsed to her knees.
As her consciousness blurred, she looked up to see Mason and Sophia excitedly embracing each other.
“We hit it! We hit it!”
Mason affectionately tapped her upturned nose. “Brilliant!”
Charlotte was covered in wounds, but Mason took a call and left.
Sophia walked over, pretending to help her but actually pinching her wounds. “How are you feeling, Charlie? All good?”
“Get away from me!”
Charlotte pushed her away and followed Mason out of the room.
She went to the bathroom to treat her wounds, painfully removing the darts one by one.

Fortunately, they were all surface wounds and not too deep, or she might not have survived.
