Chapter 27 The Worst
Raquel’s heart sank as unlike before, Felton didn’t rush to catch
her this time.
After a few seconds, he finally tucked her in. Then he walked
out of the ward and called Arnoldo.
“Have you found out about Anastasia’s real identity?”
Arnoldo hemmed and hawed before finally saying, “Someone’s
been hindering my investigation secretly by erasing any traces.
relating to her. For now, all I know is she’s got deep connections
with Falcon Group.”
“Try and tell me something I don’t know!” Felton snapped,
pacing back and forth in the hallway.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Gutierrez. I’ve been trying to find out more. The
chairman of Falcon Group is Fidel Carney, who has two sons.
Hobert is his eldest. Though Ms. Carney shares the same
surname, she’s not a direct descendant of the family”
“What about the other branches of the family?”
Arnoldo said with certainty, “She’s not part of them either. Her
origins are a mystery. But I’ve heard some top–notch families

tend to adopt girls… Or maybe she just happens to have the same
surname with them.”
Girls being adopted would be given the family’s surname, but
that was all they got. Outsiders wouldn’t know about them, and
they either became playthings, scapegoats, or even organ
donors for the families…
After hanging up, Felton was lost in thought while frowning
and pacing.
Regent Entertainment had been in decline over the years, and it
was rotten to the core. If it weren’t for its valuable cinema

resources, he would never have collaborated with such a
sinking ship at all.
三角
Colette, the director of the company, was one of the most
despicable ones. She ruined a lot of girls‘ futures by giving them
empty promises of becoming big–time celebrities.
Hobert was the worst.
Any man around Anastasia was the worst!
He clenched his fists and couldn’t help but feel a bit worried about Anastasia. But then he snorted, thinking, “Why would I give a damn? I won’t bat an eye even if she dies!”

Meanwhile, Anastasia was in a gloomy mood on the way home.
Driving, Hobert glanced at her from time to time, the concern in
his eyes palpable. “If you’re still upset, I’ll go back and beat him
up again.”
“No need, Hobert. I can do it myself.” Still irked, she looked
outside.
Her lips stung as she spoke, and she couldn’t help but curse
Felton silently hard.
Tapping the window, she felt even more edgy.
She snorted and clenched her fists, thinking, “I must make
Felton pay for what he did!”
Back at home, she lazily nestled into the sofa.
Suddenly, a terrifying roar rang out, echoing in the living room.
She looked up and smiled helplessly as she saw Hobert walk
toward her in a shark mascot costume.
“Hobert, is one of us a five–year–old?”
Hobert took off the mascot’s head, and his forehead and hair
were already drenched in sweat. “Babe, I just wanna cheer you
- up. You’ve been upset these days.”

She rested her head on his lap and yawned lazily.
“I’m really fine. You’re just overreacting.”
Hobert snorted, looking displeased, “No one has upset you this
much ever since you were little. If it were others, I would have
dismembered them already.
“You waited on Felton hand and foot when he was paralyzed.
T
Has he forgotten everything about that? What an ingrate.”
Stroking her lips, Anastasia felt the sharp pain and was in a foul
mood again.
“Don’t say his name again!”

“Alright. Whatever you say,‘ Hobert coaxed her softly.

Gradually, she fell asleep. Seeing her breath evenly, Hobert
carefully carried her to bed.
Early the next morning, she put on a white suit and low heels,
heading to Regent Entertainment.
Colette, though very displeased, waited for her in the lobby
together with her subordinates.
“Morning, everyone. Since you’re all here, let’s have a meeting,”
Anastasia said.
