Raquel was surprised to see Anastasia here.
She quickly lowered her head and apologized, “I’m sorry, Ms.
Carney. I tend to overthink things, and I sometimes run my
mouth. Please don’t take it to heart.”

Anastasia scoffed, as if she had heard the biggest joke in the
world.

“You really think an apology is gonna fix anything? Get real.”
With that, she slapped Raquel across the face hard.
A loud, crisp smack echoed in the room.
Covering her cheek in shock, Raquel turned to look at Felton,
her eyes brimming with tears.
Felton stood in front of her, his gaze sweeping over Hobert
before landing on Anastasia.
He stared at her intently, his expression icy. “What are you
doing here?”
“We were gonna leave. But before that, I think I should make it
clear to you to get you out of the delusion that I still feel for
you.” Crossing her arms over her chest, Anastasia looked at him
and then glanced at Raquel, who was shivering.
“Raquel, Felton is just a piece of crap I dumped. He’s yours now. You’d better keep him in check. I don’t wanna see his disgusting
face ever again.
“You despicable pair are perfect for each other. I hope you can
live happily ever after.”
With that, she turned to leave.
But Hobert grabbed her arm. “Just a second, Anastasia. Be
patient.”
Then he sized Felton up with disgust and clicked his tongue.
“It seems you’ve got nothing left besides that pretty face of yours. Falling for a loser like you is the biggest mistake Anastasia has ever made. Are you sure you have what it takes to inherit the Gutierrez family’s assets? I weep for your family’s
future.”
Anastasia couldn’t help but chuckle–Hobert could really be mean if he wanted to.
Raquel tried her best not to laugh, her face slightly twisting.

Felton, however, flew into a rage and sprang to his feet. “What
are you talking about? Don’t think you get to disrespect me just
because you’re the CEO of Falcon Group!”
With a cigarette in his mouth, Hobert looked at him with
contempt.
“I’m just telling the truth. That phony next to you is so hideous
and vicious. She’s got nothing good in her, yet you treat her like
gold.”
“I dare you to say that about Raquel again!” Felton clenched his
fists.
Yet, Hobert had no interest in fighting again. He pulled out the
USB drive from his pocket and tossed it at Felton.
“At least you know how to use this, right? If you still defend her
after seeing what’s in there, gosh–please, just let someone else
take over your family.“”
With that, Hobert walked over to Anastasia and bent down.
“Your Highness, time to leave.”
His voice instantly cheered her up, and she climbed onto his
back with a grin.
They left without hesitation, leaving Felton and Raquel behind.

Panic set in as Raquel looked at Felton, wrapping her arms
around his arm.
“Felty, listen to me. I…”
Felton wasn’t that stupid after all. Spotting the look on her face,
he knew she was utterly uneasy.
He squinted, looking at her dangerously. “Why?”
“I wasn’t thinking. I was so worried that Ms. Carney might take
you away from me, so I did something stupid…” Raquel burst
into tears.

“Felty, leave me. Ms. Carney is prettier, sexier, and more
charming than me. You should be with her.”
She cried so hard that she passed out, slumping to the bed.

If it were before, he would have rushed to catch her. Yet now,
he simply studied her face expressionlessly.
He thought, “Raquel hired someone to kill Anastasia? It seems
she isn’t as delicate as I thought.”
