Chapter 10 Any Problems?
Everyone had expected Anastasia to leave. However, she ignored their words, walked slowly up to Colette, stopped in front of her, picked up the document on the table, and glanced at them briefly.
“I wasn’t familiar with the business here before, but not anymore.
“Time to step aside now, Ms. Lloyd.”
Those present were stunned.
They thought, “What’s that supposed to mean?
“She got familiar with the operations within a few seconds?
“Does she think the document is some basic math?
“She’s so arrogant. The headquarters sent her here to destroy this company!”
One of them couldn’t hold back any longer and slammed the document onto the table heavily. “Ms. Lloyd, since she likes the main seat so much, you might as well let her have it. We’ll continue our discussion somewhere else.”
The rest all stood up, ready to walk out.
Colette was one of them.
Seeing this, Anastasia arched an eyebrow, thinking, “Are they trying to scare me away?
“Good luck with that.”
Her waist was slightly sore from standing for so long. Adjusting the sunglasses, she said coldly, “Whoever walks out of this door will be fired.
“Also, who organized the data? How could you possibly miss such an obvious mistake? Are you stupid or blind?”
The person in charge of the data immediately pulled a long face and snapped, “What mistake? I won’t take any groundless accusations lying down.”
“You’re so confident. Then see for yourself. On the third page of the document, the third column of the fifth table—is that a percentage error or what?”
The person flipped to the third page and realized Anastasia was right.
Colette glared at the person and then turned to Anastasia. “One error doesn’t mean anything.”
Anastasia said coldly, “Is that so?
“What if I tell you the plan you’re discussing now will bring irreversible damage to Regent Entertainment once carried out?”
Colette shot back right away. “That’s not possible. Given the current situation of the group, this plan is what’s best for it.
“If you dislike me, you can tell me. No need to put the group’s future at risk.”
Anastasia snorted, not responding.
She said while looking around, “It’s known to everyone that Regent Entertainment is mainly engaged in training and debuting artists. After those scandals, certain major shareholders pulled out, leaving the company with serious cash flow issues. If we recruit more artists now, are you sure we have enough funds? Let alone that—with the company’s current reputation, who will sign with us anyway?
“Even if we successfully recruit some artists, do we have any resources for them?
“If we go bankrupt before they take off, who’s gonna pay the massive breach-of-contract penalties?”
The shareholders were stunned, figuring that she had a point.
But if they didn’t recruit fresh talent, with those current artists, there was nothing much they could do.
Seeing through them, Anastasia continued, “Now that we aren’t gonna recruit new talent, why don’t we use the fund to invest in those great artists we already have?”
Colette didn’t know how to retort, her expression darkening completely.
“Any problems? Feel free to tell me. But I won’t listen anyway.” Anastasia walked toward her leisurely, looking down at her with a smile.
