Chapter 12
Gabriel clenched his fists tightly, his eyes turning crimson with mist. Unable to control his emotions, he fiercely smashed the computer to the ground.
He kicked over the wine tower uncontrollably, smashed the big screen, grabbed the documents mixed with broken glass on the ground, and squeezed them hard. The blood stained the white paper red and dripped onto the floor.
He suddenly laughed.
Laughed until tears came out.
“Wife, you must hate me so much, right? You must never forgive me again, right…”
“How could I have been so arrogant as to think I could deceive you.

Gabriel staggered back a few steps, his heart feeling like it had been cut open with a blunt knife, the pain spreading throughout his body with the flow of blood, making him wish for death.
Rachel, who was standing on the side, had already been shocked speechless. Gabriel, who had always prided himself on being calm, had unexpectedly lost his mind and gone crazy.
She dared not speak, even her breathing became cautious, she wanted to escape from here.
Suddenly, Gabriel looked at her and she jerked her body.

“Gabriel. Don’t be sad. Anna will come back. If she’s not happy, I can leave. She reassured with a brave face, her charming face full of fear.”
Gabriel sneered and walked up to her, “You don’t have to leave, you need to stay by my side.”
She watched as he controlled his emotions, feeling a slight sense of relief that Gabriel still loved her. But his next words plunged her into icy waters.
“Once I have uncovered all your crimes, I will make you experience what it means to wish for death.”
Gabriel’s usually gentle face showed a hint of killing intent as he ordered someone to take Rachel away.
Rachel was so scared that she was silent, until she was dragged out of the banquet hall, she remembered to beg for mercy.
“Gabriel, I was wrongly accused…”
Gabriel closed his eyes, but still couldn’t block out the image he had just seen – Anna’s pale face haunting him like a curse.
He made an effort to control his emotions, regain his composure, and left the banquet hall.
He had his assistant look up information on buying the Mitchell family’s old house, and he was determined to buy it back no matter how much it cost.
“Mr. Hayes, so soon we meet again, the lawyer looked at the defeated expression on Gabriel’s face and couldn’t help but mock, “Did Mr. Hayes think that buying back the Mitchell family estate could make up for the mistakes you’ve made?“”

“Stop talking nonsense, sell it to me at three times the price, Gabriel said, his face turning red with anger.”
“Not for sale.”
“You have to sell, even if you don’t want to. You’re just a small lawyer, what do you have to compete with the Hayes family? Ten times the price, you have one day to hand over to my assistant, Gabriel warned coldly.”
The lawyer chuckled disapprovingly, stood up and left. “Mr. Hayes can give it a try. I have other matters to attend to, so I won’t accompany you.”
Gabriel squinted his eyes and stared at the lawyer’s back, “Do you know where my wife is? He asked you to bring the documents, which means you have been in contact with him!”
Gabriel was feeling a bit excited, “Where is my wife?”
“Mr. Hayes, you are not married to Anna, so legally you have no right to call her your wife, and morally you are not deserving. The lawyer said coldly.”
His words pierced Gabriel’s heart like a sharp blade. Gabriel took a deep breath and said, “The matters between me and my wife are none of your business. Just tell me where she is.”
The lawyer stopped talking and walked out. Gabriel followed, grabbing his shoulder to prevent him from leaving.
The lawyer tried to shake him off, but he came up and grabbed the lawyer’s collar, “I’ll give you one more chance, tell me where she is.”
“You didn’t deserve to know.”

Gabriel raised his hand and punched the lawyer, who mercilessly retaliated. Gabriel, unsteady on his feet, stumbled and crashed into the nearby glass door.
He stumbled through the glass door, hitting his head and tearing countless gashes in his suit.
Blood gushed out instantly, covering his face and blocking his vision. A wave of dizziness hit him, and he blacked out.
