“Daddy, you’re back!”
Reese ran up with a joyful shout. Cameron picked her up instinctively, only to freeze.E
Her body had clearly packed on several layers of fat. Two front teeth were missing, leaving dark cavities, and her clothes were. smeared with sticky brown stains.
The little girl who had once been as delicate as a porcelain doll now looked like a wild child from the slums.
Cameron’s expression turned grim. He lifted her in his arms. “Reese, you’ve got cavities. Didn’t Miss Lawrence take you to the doctor?”
She shook her head cheerfully. “Nope! Miss Lawrence said losing teeth is normal for kids.”
Cameron felt the weight of her small body. For a five–year–old, gaining that much weight in a month wasn’t just unusual, it was alarming.
“From now on, no more sweets. No more ice cream.“}
“And starting tomorrow, you’re going back to kindergarten.”
His voice was cold and firm. Reese froze, then burst into tears.
She thrashed in his arms, shouting through tears, “Daddy is bad! Just like that fat woman! I hate Daddy! I only want Miss Lawrence!”
Cameron didn’t react to the tantrum. If this kept up, the child would be completely spoiled.8
He glanced around the house, and Anne was nowhere to be seen.
His brow tightened. “Where is Anne?“!!
The butler answered respectfully, “Miss Lawrence has made quite a few wealthy friends lately: She comes home very latel these days.”
* Cameron’s fists clenched. With a cold expression, he tossed off his jacket and headed straight for the bedroom.
The next morning, during a rare break, the butler’s urgent knocking jolted him awake.
“Mr. Cruise, the kindergarten just called. Reese got into a fight with other children!”
Without hesitation, Cameron drove to the elite private kindergarten. The moment he walked into the room, he was met with glares from four furious parents and two kids bearing long scratch marks across their faces &
Reese stood with her hands on her hips, yelling in her childish voice, “Bitch! Dirty whore!”
“Reese! What nonsense are you saying!”
Cameron stepped in and stopped her at once. When she saw her father, she immediately burst into loud sobs.
“Mr. Cruise, your daughter’s been cursing at other children all day,” the principal said with a troubled expression. He pulled up the school’s surveillance footage.
In the video, Reese’s voice rang out, “Dirty whore! Miss Lawrence said you’re all raised by prostitutes!”
The veins on Cameron’s forehead twitched. His voice turned cold. “Reese, who taught you to speak like that? Don’t you know it’s wrong? Apologize to them, right now!”
But Reese only cried harder. “I don’t care! I’m not wrong! Miss Lawrence showed me a movie where people said that! She said they deserved it! I won’t apologize!“}
Cameron froze, staring at her in disbelief.
So that was it.
“No more movies with Miss Lawrence from now on.”
Reese sobbed louder. “Daddy, they made fun of me! They said I’m a fat ball–They said I don’t have a mom!”
Cameron’s brows furrowed, the air around him turning cold.
“Who said my daughter doesn’t have a mother?“%
A little girl, emboldened by her parents, stepped forward and shouted, “She doesn’t! She has a stepmom!!!
Cameron’s body stiffened. He hadn’t expected Reese to face something like this at kindergarten.
His tone turned sharp. “Principal Landers, I’ve donated how many buildings to your school? And this is how you let my daughter get treated? Do you still want this kindergarten to keep running?“%
The principal apologized repeatedly, promising to deal with the matter seriously.
Cameron waved him off, rubbing his temples. “Forget it. Reese was in the wrong, too. Let’s leave it there.”
After taking Reese home, he headed straight to Anne.
“Why did you let Reese watch movies like that? She’s out there cursing now!”

Anne, enjoying a luxury spa treatment, laughed lazily. “Those movies are art. Children pick things up fast. I told you, Reese is gifted…”
Before she could finish, Cameron pointed at the spa technician and snapped, “Get out!”
The technician didn’t even dare to breathe and slipped out quickly.
Anne rose from the spa chair, her tone soft. “Cameron, what’s wrong?”
Cameron forced back his anger. “From now on, don’t let Reese watch those movies. I’m warning you, this is the last time.”
“And take her to the dentist tomorrow. Her teeth are full of cavities. “E
Seeing the fury in his eyes, Anne nodded obediently. “I understand, Cameron. I’ll take her first thing in the morning.” Cameron’s face remained cold. He gave her one last glance, then turned and walked out of the room.
The house felt stifling. He couldn’t stand it another minute, so he grabbed his keys and drove straight to the office
