A week before my wedding, I got a package with no name on it.
When I opened it, there was a stack of photos inside–all of them were of me and Kevin.
On the back of each one, someone had written in messy black marker. “You will always be mine.”
Jeremy grabbed the photos right away, his expression darkening. “He’s lost it.”
I held his hand tight and whispered, “He’s not going to give up.”
And I was right–he showed up on our wedding day.
Wearing my wedding dress covered in tiny diamonds, I held my flowers and walked toward Jeremy step by step.
He was standing at the end of the aisle in a sharp suit, looking at me with warm, steady eyes.
However, just as the priest was about to say the vows, the church door slammed open. “I object!”
Kevin was standing there, looking worn out and a little crazy.
Everyone gasped in shock.
Jeremy’s face went cold. He stepped in front of me and said calmly, “Security.”
A few bodyguards came over right away, but Kevin suddenly pulled out a

knife, pressed it to his wrist, and yelled, “Aubree! If you marry him, I’ll kill myself right here!”
People gasped, and someone pulled out their phone to record.
I felt cold all over and stared at him. “Kevin, what are you doing?”

He gave me a twisted, sad smile. “I just want you back. Please come back
to me…”
He did not even look at anyone else but me.
“Bree, do you remember? You said you’d be with me forever.”
I took a deep breath and walked a little closer.

“You made me wait three years and allowed everyone to hate me online, but you never spoke up for me. You even left me to die in that fire…
“Kevin, you never loved me. You only ever loved yourself.”
With every word I said, Kevin’s face got paler and paler.
Kevin’s fingers were shaking. The knife tip pressed into his wrist and left
a thin cut.
His voice cracked as he choked out, “Bree, I was wrong. I really messed
up.”
Right then, the police rushed in and tackled him to the ground.
He was pinned down but kept screaming at me, “Aubree! Just wait for
me!”
I did not look back. I just went back to Jeremy, grabbed his hand, and turned to the priest. “Please go on.”

The priest cleared his throat and started the vows again.
Sunlight poured in through the windows. The only sounds left in the church were our vows and everyone’s quiet blessings.
Meanwhile, Kevin’s shouting was shut out behind the door for good.
