Chapter 128 Tell Her His Feelings

Aelira’s POV

As Daelor’s fingertips graze my nose, a flush creeps up to the tips of my ears, and I instinctively drop my gaze. His intimate gesture stirs my wolf restlessly inside me

Alarion’s face darkens in an instant. He swiftly pulls out his phone, dialing with furious fingers

Although I can’t catch what’s being said, the deepening shadow on Alarion’s features tells me everything. Daelor’s words are true. He truly rescued my brother Jornic

Daelor!Alarion bites out, his Alpha pheromones spiking with anger

To stoop to disgusting tricks like intimidation. Alarion, you’ve really set a new record,Daelor responds, his tone calm. Anyone familiar with him can sense the suppressed rage beneath his calm demeanor. His Alpha aura radiates tightly controlled anger

Alarion lets out a derisive snort, his amber eyes burning with threat

Don’t act like a gentleman in front of me. You’re not above stealing another’s mate, so who are you to lecture me?”

Stealing her?Daelor nonchalantly scratches his ear, looking unconcerned

Back then, Aelira and I were only pretending. Didn’t you realize? We did it to push you into breaking your mate bond with

her faster

I turn to look at him in disbelief, my wolf inside me whining with uncertainty. I never imagined Daelor would reveal this so directly

What?Alarion is just as shocked. You and Aelira…

But before he can finish, Daelor cuts him off sharply

But things aren’t the same anymore.”

Alarion’s posture stiffens. What’s changed?”

Daelor suddenly grins, his eyes softening as they meet mine

Don’t you see what’s different?”

What are you getting at? Alarion presses

Daelor only lifts the corners of his mouth in a smile, offering no further explanation. He takes my hand and leads me away, leaving Alarion standing alone, his expression stormy

Daelor guides me along by the hand, but I soon realize we’re heading in a different directionnot toward the school gate, but toward the teaching block

When we reach the building’s entrance, I glance back to find Alarion has disappeared from view

Now that Daelor has clarified that our earlier actions were nothing but a performance, there’s no reason to continue the pretense. I try to withdraw my hand

Sensing my movement, Daelor turns, his gaze dropping to our entwined fingers

What’s the matter?he inquires

UhI feel my palm growing damp. Alarion’s gone now. You can let go.”

Daelor lets out a quiet laugh. He starts to softly run his thumb over the back of my hand, his movements careful and gentle

The roughness of his touch sends tingling energy racing across my skin

When I lift my gaze to him in surprise, our eyes lock, his expression intense

From this moment, I refuse to let go,he murmurs with steady resolve

I blink in confusion, my heart thundering as my wolf responds with a surge of unexpected excitement

DaelorDaelor”

He fixes his penetrating stare on me while his other hand moves up to lightly graze my cheek. The dominant scent of his Alpha presence encircles me, offering protection

His gaze carries a profoundness that’s almost too overwhelming to meet headon

Do you recall what I mentioned yesterday about taking you somewhere?”

Without thinking, I swallow and nod. “Yes, I remember”

A faint smile appears on Daelor’s lips. Come along.”

In a state of disbelief, I trail after him, never releasing his hand. Our palms, pressed together, are slick with sweat, exchanging heat and growing warmer

As we step into the hallway, something astonishing catches my eye

Photographs in uncountable numbers blanket the walls entirely

This isI stare in amazement, my mouth fallin

falling open

Instinctively, I glance back at Daelor, and my wolf senses his barely concealed nervous anticipation beneath a composed facade

Daelor just smiles, carefully observing my reaction. Take a look.”

I move closer, beginning to study the pictures. Every photo is of me

Images from our high school years, our university graduation, and even recent snapshots from my work at the herbal remedies cooperative are all displayed

Drifting slowly along the corridor, I am stunned by the sheer volume of these memories. The photographs stretch across so many years of my life

When I finally reach the last section of the wall, I audibly gasp

Arranged in flower petals is a bold message: Aelira Sunmere, I’ve cared about you for an incredibly long time!”

Startled, I cover my mouth, heart hammering as my wolf instantly feels the truth in his Alpha’s words

I turn to face Daelor

He offers me a gentle, reassuring smile. Naturally, my feelings for you are still the same.”

The straightforwardness of his confession leaves me tearyeyed as a wave of powerful emotions sweeps over me

Daelor”

He looks at me with unwavering confidence, his eyes firmly meeting mine

Aelira Sunmere, will you become my mate?”

For a moment, my thoughts vanish. My wolf is caught between exhilaration and fear

Regaining my composure, instinctively squeeze his hand. With effort, I manage to speak

Daelor, I-

Before I can finish, Daelor cuts me off

No need to rush into a rejection. What I hope for is simply to begin courting you from today. Surely, you’ll at least allow me the chance to try, won’t you?”

My lips part on instinct, yet words escape me. Inside, my wolf whimpers at the overwhelming tide of feelings

Chapter 128 Tell Her His Feelings

Though I once wondered if Daelor might harbor feelings for me, I had always dismissed the idea as impossible. considering our contrasting pack ranks and his position as Alpha King

Now, with the truth laid bare, I must face it headon

How could this be real? How could Daelor have had feelings for me, and for so long

Still, the immense array of photographs stands as irrefutable evidence. Their timeline stretches farstarting from my very first day at Moonvalley High, continuing through college, my graduation, and my time working at Verdant Moon Herbalists…

Why?The question slips from my mouth before I can stop it

What was that?Daelor instinctively lowers himself, drawing nearer

His commanding Alpha scent surrounds me completely

As I regain my composure, I realize I’ve spoken my thoughts aloud without meaning to

Lifting my gaze to Daelor, I meet his eyes. Only then do I notice the length of his lashes, which tremble subtly with every breath, as though they could graze a person’s soul

I quickly drop my eyes, feeling my wolf shifting anxiously inside me

II meant to ask you why….

Why I drawn to you?”

My cheeks heat, and as I bite my lip, I nod. Yeah

Why wouldn’t I?Daelor gives me a gentle smile. Do you recall the first time we met?”

The first time? My brow knits in confusion as I strain to remember my earliest encounter with D Daelor

But no matter how hard I search my memories, I find nothing. My recollections are too clouded by fixated only on Alarion

Daelor laughs quietly, reading my discomfort but choosing not to mention it

many years spent

It was your first day as a new student. You stood on stage as the freshman speaker. Behind the curtain, I accidentally stepped on your shoe and it slipped off”

With those words, clarity returnsI do remember that moment

But back then, all my thoughts were tied up in the anxiety of addressing the whole school. When I heard someone say sorry, I’d just answered It’s finewithout looking to see who it was, slipped my shoe back on, and walked up to the stage
