Chapter 9
And that was just the start. The true nightmare was only beginning.
Indeed, the night before their arrest, there had been a party. I had hypnotized everyone and bestowed upon each of them a gift they would never forget.
Naturally, I kept this a secret. I was worried they would be so “grateful” that they would leave in a frenzy of excitement.
Before long, several of them were convicted, receiving sentences that ranged from a few years to life in prison.
At last, my mission was complete. Anna Gibson, I had finally avenged
you.
Anna had been my best friend. She was gentle and kind, like a single white jasmine. As an orphan, she took me in and treated me as her little sister.
But this generous and loving sister had passed away at 18, the prime of her life.
Her death was ruled a suicide, and a note had been left behind.
Upon learning the news, Anna’s parents, Oliver and Maria Gibson, faced a devastating blow–one became sick, and the other lost their sanity.
I couldn’t believe it. A resilient and cheerful girl like Anna would never end her own life.
Determined to uncover the truth, I began my investigation and eventually pieced together the entire story by following the clues.

Chapter 9
The villain behind it all was that lowlife Aaron, and those supposed big entrepreneurs were complicit in Anna’s tragic demise.
He had deceived the naive Anna with his schemes in a similar manner before. She fell for his love con and ultimately became just another pawn for him.
During that half year, I was studying abroad as an exchange student. I never imagined that upon my return, I would be confronted with Anna’s lifeless body.
Therefore, when I found out that Aaron had taken up plumbing, I realized he was on the hunt for his next victim.
I arranged for Oliver and Maria to leave, intentionally damaged the water pipe, and willingly entered the trap Aaron had meticulously set up.
Unfortunately for him, he underestimated the situation this time.
I acted out every moment of weakness and helplessness.
Once I had exacted my revenge, I shared the good news with Oliver and Maria. Astonishingly, Oliver’s health improved, and Maria’s mental state
also stabilized.
For Aaron and his group, regardless of whether they faced a fixed–term or life sentence, death was their inevitable end–marked by tragedy, agony, despair, and utter devastation.
That–night, my “gift” to them included every infectious disease I could imagine, like hepatitis B, hepatitis C, HIV, and syphilis.
Anna, the revenge had been fulfilled. You could now rest in peace.
