Chapter 8
Jessica hesitated before nodding.
Noticing Eric’s frown, she tried to please him by kneeling down and making inaudible sounds beneath him.
The video stopped. The audience was furious. Some even pulled Jessica onto the stage and threw their shoes at her.
“Can’t take down the lousy guy, but I can sure take it out on you!”
“I’ve despised mistresses my whole life! You dared to intrude and challenge the rightful person. Just wait, I’ll beat you to death!”
More people joined in, pulling her hair and tossing leftover food at her.
She screamed for help. “Mr. Sullivan, help me! Save our baby!”
Eric regarded her with a cold stare.
“If you had the nerve to challenge Maddie, you should have seen this coming. If you dare to cross Maddie, then both you and your child deserve this fate!”
A man’s voice echoed from the corner, “Jessica, is this the person who ignores you, causing you to betray our five–year relationship?”
Everyone in the room turned their gaze.
A man in a white shirt looked at Jessica, his expression full of heartache.
Jessica turned pale with fear. “I don’t know you. Leave! Get out of here!”
But the man moved closer, almost shouting, “Should I walk away and let

these people harm our child?”
As soon as he said this, the room erupted in boos.
“Is the child his? So the wealthiest man has been deceived?”
“What a joke! Those who deceive others get deceived in return–karma is relentless.”
“Wow, the banquet was worth it today! This twist after twist is more thrilling than a short drama.
“Is there any truth to what he said?” Eric glared at Jessica with bloodshot eyes, gripping her chin and pinning her to the wall.
“Is the baby you’re carrying illegitimate?”

“No, Mr. Sullivan! He’s lying! I don’t know him at all.” Jessica shook her head frantically. “You know you’re the first and only man in my life.”
The man curled his lip in contempt.
“He’s already touched you–do you still choose him? Is he your first love? Your only love? Then what am I? And what do you call this?”
He waved the document he was holding and threw it to the floor. Someone picked it up and read it aloud.
“Jessica Nottunie underwent hymen repair surgery on December 12, 2024, with no complications. Discharged today.”
The man laughed so hard, he began to cry.
“Didn’t I treat you well? You wanted to be a rich man’s wife, so I even did the repair surgery for you myself. I would have given you everything, but even after finding happiness, why won’t you look back at me now that he’s treated you like this?”

Jessica was about to break down.
“You lunatic! If you don’t want me to abort your child, keep quiet!”
