Chapter 15
Kaneeta’s mind went blank. Panic surged through her as she struggled hard, but Woodrow’s ironclad embrace rendered her efforts futile.
Her struggle somehow made his lust stronger.
“Woodrow, calm down!” she said, her voice trembling.
She did owe him a favor, but this wasn’t how she planned to
repay him!
“Stop moving” Woodrow growled in a strained voice, the veins
on his neck throbbing, “if you don’t want me to lose control…”
His bloodshot eyes locked onto her rosy lips, his control hanging by a thread.
With his last shred of sanity, he tried to fight back his desire.
Kaneeta froze, stopping struggling.
So, he didn’t mean what she thought he meant?
“Then… How do you want me to help you?” she asked stiffly.
He pressed his searing palms against the back of her waist. Even

through the fabric, she could feel his body heat clearly.
Muffled groans escaped his lips, betraying his struggle to restrain his lust.
“Lock the door. Then call my subordinate. I don’t have my phone on me…”
Though he asked her to go and lock the door, he held her even more tightly.
“Alright. Then let go of me first…” she said.
After panting heavily, he finally loosened his grip just a little bit with all his might.
Taking the chance, she pushed him away hard.
Caught off guard, he crashed onto the floor, even knocking over the chair in the process.
“Sorry…” she muttered while striding away from him as quickly as possible.
She went to lock the door to the private room, then stood by the door and pulled out her phone.
“What’s your subordinate’s number? I’ll call him.“”

With his eyes closed, he quickly rattled off a string of numbers.
She immediately dialed the number.
A young man’s voice came through. She quickly and clearly explained the situation before telling him the restaurant name and private room number. Then he said he was nearby and would be here right away.
After hanging up, she was slightly relieved.
But as she looked up, she met Woodrow’s intense gaze again.
It made her feel that she was prey under the eyes of the hunter.
“W–Woodrow, calm down. Your man is on his way…”
“Shut up!” Woodrow clenched his fists tightly.
She was so clueless.
Her soft, delicate voice would shatter the last shred of his self-
control at any second.
His whole body seemed to be on fire. He lowered his gaze, trying
to focus on his sweat dripping onto the floor.
He didn’t dare to look at her again.

Otherwise, he might lose control and hurt her.
She could have just left.
After all, she’d already done enough by making that call.
But she stayed.
He knew she was afraid that leaving now might draw attention
and expose him.
He’d never do anything to hurt her.
Time tickled by. For him, even one second was stretched into an
eternity. He felt a metallic taste of blood in his throat, and
though he didn’t want to, he couldn’t help but spit out a
mouthful of blood.
“Woodrow!” Kaneeta whispered, her voice laced with urgency.
Just then, someone knocked on the door.
At the same time, she received a message from the man on the phone earlier.
“I’m at the door.”
She quickly turned around and opened the door.
Chapter 15
A young man stood at the door with a dozen black–clad
bodyguards behind him.
Utterly worried, he hurried past her, rushed inside, and helped
Woodrow up.
