Erwina frowned, “About what I said before…”
“We’ll talk when we get home.”
Erwina was just about to say something else, but then she heard that Commander Mullen had arrived. Derrick and Ethan, along with Devin who was busy in the kitchen, all hurried out.
Looking at her grandpa getting all excited, Erwina sighed and just swallowed those words for now.
If I said I was going home, then I was going home. Anyway, this month’s rut was already over. As long as it wasn’t that whiny Gus, Erwina was sure she could still handle it calmly and coolly.
“Commander Mullen, what brought you here?”
Derrick was full of respect, and Ethan and Devin also looked at Gustav respectfully.
Gustav nodded slightly, “Here to take Wina home.”
It was clearly a very indifferent voice, a bit low too, but that Wina still made Erwina’s heart tingle.
And those two words “go home” seemed to have a flirty vibe on their
own!
This was different from those two times in rut, when Gus called her sis–it was a different kind of sweetness.

Seeing Commander Mullen care so much about Wina, Derrick’s smile just kept getting bigger.
He said, “It’s just about dinner time now. You and Wina should stay for dinner before you go back.”
Except for having meals at the palace, Gustav rarely had meals outside.
Erwina was all worried he’d say no.
Of course, if he refused, Erwina was ready with another set of excuses.
As the Empire’s Top Commander, of course I didn’t just eat out anywhere.
“Okay,” Gustav said.
Even though it was just one word, it made the whole Schrader family really happy.
Derrick asked Erwina to stay with Gustav, then he took his son and nephew to the kitchen to cook himself.
Walked into the tea room, Erwina poured Gustav a cup of tea, “Is this too much for you?”
“That’s fine, and besides, they’re your elders.”
Even though Gustav’s status, he didn’t call Erwina grandpa or dad, but he was still willing to show some respect.
This was also out of respect for Erwina.
Erwina glanced at him carefully and suddenly felt like, Hey, maybe this guy wasn’t as cold as he looked.
The Schrader family warmly invited Gustav to stay for dinner. Derrick

even cooked himself, with his son and nephew helping out, and made a big table full of dishes.
Gustav was respectful to the Schrader family the whole time, and even when Derrick brought out his treasured wine, Gustav didn’t say no,
Erwina didn’t know if this Commander Mullen could hold his liquor. The Schrader family could really drink, and this booze was pretty strong.
Don’t get this big shot drunk!
Commander Mullen, how about I drink it for you?”
Gustav turned his head to look at her. Because he was a little tipsy, his eyes were slightly squinted and the ends of his eyebrows lifted a bit. He looked less cold and had more of that Gus warm and cute vibe.
He said, “I can do it.”
Erwina shut up right away.
Because she remembered, probably no man wanted to be told not good enough in any area.
The two of them talked quietly, and the Schrader family also thought they were really close because they got along so well.
Especially Derrick, I just got more and more satisfied the more I looked at him.
But Megan, who sat across from me, always had a long face.
Just had a fight with Wynfield, then got force–fed dog food by Erwina. Megan felt like she was going crazy!
Derrick asked Gustav, “I wonder if these dishes suited Commander

Gustav was still a man of few words, “Not bad.”
Megan finally found a chance and said with an innocent look, “Commander Mullen, you don’t know, everyone in the Schrader family can cook. Oh, but I think my sister can’t really cook. You probably haven’t tried her cooking, right?”
Derrick was a bit annoyed.
Why did you say this now?
Even Ethan looked at Megan and frowned a little.
But Megan didn’t care. She really didn’t want Erwina to get so close to Commander Mullen. If they got along well, then she wouldn’t have any chance to get the Schrader Restaurant.
Erwina felt like this Megan really had issues, always looking for
attention.
She turned her head to explain to Gustav, but then she heard him say, “Wina’s cooking was really good.”
Everyone was stunned.
Gustav said slowly, “She made it for me before, it was really tasty.”
Erwina was stunned. When had she ever cooked for him? She didn’t expect the great Commander Mullen to lie so calmly.
Megan’s face went pale, then dark, then pale again. She gripped her fork so hard she almost broke them!
