Chapter33
Just then, Gustav’s starphone beeped on his wrist. Victor next to him immediately said, “Master, it’s almost time for your meeting with His Majesty.”
“Yeah.” Gustav got up and put on his cap.
Erwina was also secretly happy. Hey, Gustav was going to the palace to see His Majesty, which meant their meeting could be over?
The other person didn’t want a divorce for now, so we didn’t get one.
Anyway, the two of them were just like two parallel lines, hardly ever crossing paths. They were basically just husband and wife in name only.
She wouldn’t be pressured to get married in the future, and she could enjoy the freedom of being alone. It was just too perfect!
“Do you want to change your clothes?” Gustav walked a few steps and noticed Erwina didn’t follow. He turned around and saw her still standing. there with a suspicious smile on her face.
Erwina paused, “What do you mean, change clothes?”
“Actually, you could just wear this to the palace.”
Erwina’s eyes suddenly narrowed, “Commander Mullen, do you mean you’re taking me to the palace?”
“Well, Leland said he hadn’t met you, so it was a good chance for him to see you, and by the way, let him give you a red envelope.”

Ten minutes later, Erwina sat on Gustav’s private flyer with a glass of juice by her side. Even now, she still kind of doubted her life.
How did you end up going to the palace?
She turned her head to look at the man sitting next to her.
The man had looked tired since just now, with one hand lightly propping up his forehead, his eyes half–closed, and a small shadow under his long lashes.
As the Top Commander of UEP, you must have been really busy and really tired.
You know what, when his eyes were closed, he actually looked less aggressive and kind of like Gus.
The next moment, Gustav suddenly opened his eyes. Erwina was startled and quickly picked up her glass to cover up her peeking.
Gustav frowned, “You were afraid of me?”
“No, not afraid, it’s respect.”
“So when I was in rut, you respected me too?”
Erwina paused with the cup in her hand and asked cautiously, “You really don’t remember what happened that night?”
“I just remember you were the one who brought up getting married.”
Looking at how mad she was, Gustav felt his heart melt, but he still kept a

cool look on his face.
He said, “I didn’t refuse either.”
Erwina kind of gave up on herself, “So, Commander Mullen, you were also satisfied with this wedding and didn’t plan to get a divorce for now, right?”
“Yeah.”
Anyway, once she figured out that the other person didn’t want a divorce for now, Erwina got it, and when they got to the palace later, she had to go along with Gustav.
She said, “Then let’s just keep our marriage for now. When we get to His Majesty, how do you need me to cooperate with you?”
“To be honest.”
“I said, because I was afraid of being forced to marry someone, I married you, who I fell in love with at first sight?” Erwina regretted it right after
she said this.
The last sentence was true, but it was really hurtful.
The next sentence was also true, but it didn’t sound very serious.
Sure enough, Gustav frowned a little and said, “Just say the second half.”
Erwina: ?
Victor was next to him and just couldn’t stand listening anymore!
It explained really thoughtfully, “Ma’am, when the time comes, just say you guys fell in love at first sight, that’s enough, no need to say anything. else.”

Erwina looked at Gustav’s cool side profile and thought, Yeah, that makes
sense.
The rest, if I said it, might hurt their royal reputation.
Just like that, feeling really nervous, Erwina went into the United Empire of Planets‘ palace for the first time in her life.
Unlike other high–tech buildings, some parts of the palace still kept some ancient Earth palace styles. But that was just on the outside. Once you went in, it was still high–tech glass and metal walls.
Some people in military uniforms stopped to salute Gustav, and Erwina, who was following Gustav, got to experience what it was like to ride on someone else’s power.
Daniel and Eric just came out of the palace and saluted Gustav too. Erwina vaguely remembered these two; she had attended their wedding back then.
Erwina nodded at them kindly, Daniel thought for a second and saluted her too, “Hello, Mrs. Mullen.”
Eric gave a start and also shouted in a louder voice, “Hello, Mrs. Mullen!”
Erwina wasn’t used to this name yet, and her smile got a bit awkward.
