Chapter 23 The Mysterious Mr. Frost
Victor couldn’t wait any longer and urged, “Falcon, what’s the deal? This was an easy job. Don’t tell me it’s too much for you. You’re the central system, right? Maybe I should take over.”
Falcon: “Shut it. 1
Falcon: “Shut it. Do you even know who Master_Chef is?”
Victor: “Nope. That’s why I asked.”
Falcon: “It’s Erwina. And guess what, she’s married to Gustav.
Are you messing with me?”
Falcon was so mad that he just went offline.
Victor froze. His virtual eyes stretched wide, filling the whole
screen.
“What the heck!”
In his shock, he forgot to mute. The yell went straight to Gustav.
Stone–faced, Gustav reached out to shut him down. Victor
panicked and quickly said, “That’s Mr. Mullen! Mr. Mullen, I
swear!”
Gustav’s hand paused midair.

Realizing he’d dodged that bullet, Victor rushed to explain. “Mr. Mullen, the Master_Chef I told you about, the one whose
cooking makes everyone drool? Turns out she’s your wife! This
is unbelievable! You’re in for a treat.”
Thankfully, systems didn’t need to catch their breath, so Victor
got it all out in one go.
Gustav’s eyes flickered. His brows drew together, then a faint
smile crossed his lips.
He walked to the bar, poured himself a drink, and turned back.
“She’s still streaming?”
“She is! Right now. The salt–baked fish should be done now,”
answered Victor.
“Put it on.”
“On it!”
Gustav took a slow sip of his drink, unaware of the quiet
anticipation rising in his chest.
The screen lit up, showing a pair of fair, graceful hands moving
across the counter.
Erwina had no idea he was watching. She had she’d been trying

to hide from him.
She’d just plated the dish. As expected, comments exploded, and
gifts flooded in.
“Master_Chef, who’s the dish for?”
She smiled. “It’s for my family.”
Gustav could hear the voice changer working, and that line “for
my family” made him smirk.
“What’s the highest tip option?” Gustav asked.
“1,000 interstellar dollars for a Cosmoliner”
“I want 100.”
“Got it.”
Victor rushed to get it done, pleased. Gustav had always been
the cold type, while Victor, even as a system, was more
personable.
But now Gustav was making progress by trying to make his
wife happy.
By now, a couple of Cosmoliners barely registered. Erwina just
kept thanking her followers, like always.
Chapter 23 The Mysterio
Then a new name popped up: Mr. Frost. He dropped 100 Cosmoliners in one go.
That was 100 thousand interstellar dollars. Everyone assumed he was some parvenu.
Erwina responded right away. “Thank you for the incredible gift, Mr. Frost.”
The comment section went wild. “That kind of money could buy a mountain of salt–baked fish!

“He should send the dish one to Mr. Frost!”
Erwina saw the comment and said, “Totally. I can ship it with Interstellar Express, but freezing and reheating will ruin the texture. Mr. Frost, if you’re okay with that, send me your address and I’ll send it over.”
Mr. Frost: “Already dropped my address in your DMs.”
The others couldn’t decide what made them more jealous–the
lavish tip or the chance to taste the dish.
“Master_Chef needs to open a restaurant. I’d be first in line.”
“Same here. I’m saving up starting now.”
