Chapter 7 Be His Suppressant
The white wedding gown swept across the red carpet.
Hand in hand, the elegantly dressed couple stepped into the hall.
The murmuring crowd fell into sudden silence, as the soft,
flowing notes of a cello filled the space.
Erwina, on Gus‘ arm, approached and smiled, “Sorry to keep you
all waiting. Let’s now get this wedding started.”

The MC, a bit slow to catch on, quickly nodded and kicked off
the long–awaited ceremony
But inside, he was wondering, “Who on earth is this groom?”
Everyone in the hall stared at the dashing man in shock.
They never expected that Erwina would switch grooms at the
last minute!

The Cowan family was utterly flabbergasted.
Even Juana, who had been gloating all this time, was left agape.
Her jaw nearly dropped.
She thought, “Erwina has the nerve to change her wedding

partner! But who’s this guy? He’s pretty good–looking”
Anton had been feeling bad about it. After all, it was Wynfield’s
fault. How could he be so reckless, not even showing up on his
own wedding day?
But now…
Anton turned to his old buddy beside him and asked in a shaky
voice, “Who’s that?”

Derrick had been pretty upset ever since Wynfield didn’t show
- up. He thought the Cowan family had let them down today.
So when Anton asked that question, he stroked his beard and
calmly replied, “Guess he’s my grandson–in–law.”
Anton was rendered speechless.
Erwina remained unfazed by their reactions. She told the MC to
speed things up and then whispered to Gus, “Can you make it?”
She could feel his hand getting hotter and hotter.
Gus gave a silent nod, but cold sweat trickled down his
forehead, dampening his long lashes. His delicate features
carried a vulnerable charm that made one instinctively want to
protect him.

Erwina clutched his hand. Looking up, she saw Elaine
whispering something to Spencer, probably asking him for the exclusive suppressant. Unable to wait any longer, she turned back to the MC and snapped, “Hurry up!”
The MC felt pretty helpless, so he skipped a few steps and went
straight to the last part.
“Groom, do you take Ms. Erwina Schrader as your wife?”
“I do.”

“And bride, do you take Mr. Cowan to be your..” The MC started
sweating bullets.
He had no idea what the groom’s name was!
But Erwina was quick. She blurted out, “I do,” then stood on her tiptoes and wrapped her arms around Gus‘ neck.
Gus, like he was born knowing what to do, leaned down and
kissed the corner of her lips.
The sweetness of it somehow made the weird shivers and hot
flashes he was feeling go away.
But Erwina stepped back and let go.
Gus frowned, feeling a little let down.
Chapter 7 Be His Suppressant
The MC quickly wiped the sweat off his forehead and
announced, “All done with the ceremony! Congrats to the
couple! Time to celebrate!”
As the clock ticked closer to midnight, Erwina didn’t have a
second to spare for any more small talk. She ditched her heels,
grabbed Gus, and dashed off with him from backstage.
Gus was in bad shape, and she couldn’t wait around for Elaine
anymore. She shot her a quick message through her starphone,
told her to bring the exclusive suppressant, then hurried Gus
back to the lounge.
“Gus, are you okay?” She only woke up less than two years ago
and had no idea how to handle a Werebeast’s rut. As she wiped
Gus‘ face with a damp towel, she opened her starphone and
asked the Smart PC, Ayla, “What should I do when a Werebeast
is having his rut episode?”
“There are two options. One is to give him the exclusive
suppressant. The other is to be his suppressant.”
“What do you mean?” Erwina frowned, about to ask for more details, when suddenly a furry tail wrapped around her waist
and yanked her into a scorching embrace!
