Jaylene seemed startled by her voice and shuddered, “No, where did you come from?”
Alaricka pressed her lips together.
Jaylene frowned, “I didn’t do this for you, it’s just that they were blocking the door and I couldn’t get out. Don’t flatter yourself.”
After saying that, Jaylene took her little sidekick and stormed off.
Alarieka remembered how Jaylene had just looked obviously uncomfortable and lowered her head with a knowing smile.
After school, Alarieka went back to the rented place as usual.
Just when I went downstairs to throw out the trash, I saw one of Jaylene’s little followers at the corner.
The little sidekick paced back and forth at the intersection, his steps hurried and clumsy, muttering, something under his breath.
When Alarieka got closer, she saw the worry and helplessness on the little follower’s face.
She walked up and asked, “What happened?”
The sidekick glanced at her, frowning even more. “It’s got nothing to do with you.”
After saying this, the sidekick walked a bit farther away.
Alarieka’s gut feeling was definitely related to Jaylene.

She went over, grabbed her little follower’s hand, lowered her voice and said seriously, “Talk! What exactly happened?”
The little follower gritted his teeth and hesitated for a moment.
Alaricka had a bad feeling and lowered her voice, “Is it Jaylene? Tell me quick, if you don’t, it’ll be too late!”
The sidekick gritted his teeth: “Jaylene went to work at the club, got taken into a private room by a bunch of guys in suits and couldn’t get out. Talking to the manager didn’t help. I’m waiting for someone to come and mess the place up.”
Alarieka’s heart skipped a beat, “Which club?”
“The one in front.”
Alarieka got even more anxious.
That club was the territory of the Argent family’s relatives, full of all kinds of people. The Argent family was powerful, and even if they were just a branch, they still had power she couldn’t go up against.
It was probably really hard to take Jaylene away.
Alarieka was really anxious: “Then you wait here, I’ll go check it out first.”
The sidekick grabbed her wrist, looking shocked and angry: “You went to die alone?”
Alarieka’s face darkened too: “I knew what I was doing, you didn’t need to worry about it.”
Alarieka’s attitude was way too stubborn, and the little sidekick who was over 1,8 meters tall actually got intimidated by this skinny girl in front of him for a moment, just staring at her in a daze.

Throwing down these words, Alarieka turned and left.
In the previous life, Alarieka didn’t know much about the Argent family’s side branches, and she didn’t know much about the nearby nightclubs.
I only vaguely remembered that the founder of the nightclub had some kind of connection with Kieran, so he was always showing off and acting like a bully, did a lot of things like picking on guys and girls.
Alarieka didn’t remember too clearly. It seemed like this club got bigger and bigger, and even opened a few more locations.
This just meant the founder of the club probably had closer ties with the Argent family, and I was afraid this trip would only get harder.
The club wasn’t far from her rental place, just a few hundred meters away. Its name was a string of French letters. Alarieka didn’t look closely, because the lights inside the club hurt her eyes and the music was deafening.
She was still wearing her blue and white school uniform, standing at the nightclub entrance, totally out of place.
Alarieka hesitated for a moment, but still went in wing her school uniform.
As soon as she went in, sure enough, the security guard at the door stopped her. The guard didn’t sound very nice, but he openly checked out her body and face. “Hey, do you know what kind of place this is?”
Alarieka tugged at her clothes, showing an expression somewhere between charming and shy, slowly moved closer to the security guard, and blinked at him.
“My classmate told me, there were a lot of rich people here, and I could make money.”

The security guard looked at the girl standing under the neon lights, and his eyes gradually changed.
The girl in front of me was slim and slender, with a well–proportioned figure. Even though she was wearing a school uniform, it couldn’t hide her curves.
The security guard looked down. The girl’s body proportions were really good, with a slim waist and long legs. The school uniform pants were probably from a few years ago, so they were a bit short and showed her slender, fair ankles.
