Chapter 6
“You bled Julissa dry for years just to keep Kendra alive–and still you cheated behind her back like
she was stupid enough not to notice. You broke her, Landon. Completely.”
“I didn’t… I didn’t…”
Landon sank to the floor, knees buckling under him as if the weight of the truth finally crushed
him. He sat there, dazed, whispering to himself like he couldn’t even hear his own voice.
Nathaniel tilted his head, smiling coldly.
“And by the way? Kendra’s not sick. No schizophrenia, no cancer, no mystery diagnosis—she played you like a damn violin.”
Just then, one of the warriors rushed in and whispered something in Nathaniel’s ear.
He straightened, then suddenly threw his head back and laughed.
“God, you’re dumber than I thought.”
The amusement faded from his eyes, replaced with steel as he locked his gaze on Kendra and
Landon.
“Julissa found the truth. The bone marrow donor who saved your life? Wasn’t Kendra. Never was. You’ve been thanking the wrong girl all this time.”
He slapped a stack of medical records against Landon’s chest. The papers fluttered to the floor.
Landon stumbled backward, staring at Kendra like he’d never seen her before.
“You lied to me.”
His voice cracked. Then something in him snapped.
With a guttural growl, he lunged forward and wrapped his hand around Kendra’s throat.
She gasped, her face turning red as she clawed at his wrist, tears spilling down her cheeks.
“I’m sorry, Landon–I just loved you too much,” she sobbed, her voice barely a whisper.
Nathaniel scoffed. “What a touching performance. Bravo.”
He stepped forward, voice low and lethal.
“And here’s the best part: Julissa will never love you again.”
Landon froze.

“You know what that potion needed, right? Care. Gentleness. Devotion. But you gave her pain, betrayal, cruelty. And now the bond is dead. She won’t just forget the good–you made sure she remembers the worst of you. That damage? That’s forever.”
The words cracked something inside Landon. His grip loosened. He stared blankly at the ground as
his lips moved soundlessly.
“No… that’s not true. She wouldn’t stop loving me. Not Julissa….”
Suddenly, he shot to his feet, grabbed Nathaniel by the arm like a madman.
“Where is she?! Where did she go?!”
The video cut off.
I exhaled slowly.
The last time I’d seen Landon that shattered was after his first breakup with Kendra. And now? He’d unraveled all over again.
But I didn’t linger.
I had a plane to catch.
A few hours later, just as I was about to board my flight to Europe, someone grabbed my wrist.
“Julissa–please. I’m sorry. I was wrong.”
Landon’s face was pale, eyes wild. His hands trembled as he pulled a bond–breaking contract from
his pocket.
“We can still fix this. We can rebond. It’s not too late!”
I stared at him for a beat. Then I smiled faintly, reached out, and calmly took the document from his
hand.
“Landon,” I said gently, “I’ve already let go of everything I felt for you. Sure, I still remember you
–but I don’t love you anymore. Let’s not drag this out.”
“No–no, we promised we’d rebond! I made a mistake, I’ll do better, I swear
Tears streamed down his face as he shook his head, falling apart right there at the gate.
But my heart stayed stone–cold.
“We broke the bond. You made me drink the Oblivion Drop. Don’t you remember?”

I tugged at my arm, trying to break free, but his grip was iron.
People were starting to stare.
“Seriously?” I snapped. “You’re an Alpha. Don’t you have any pride left?”
Still, he didn’t let go.
Then suddenly–another hand yanked us apart.
“Julissa, go. Now.”
Nathaniel stepped between us like a wall, shoving Landon back with a scowl.
“Back off, Landon. You’ve done enough.”
Landon blinked, stunned. A beat later, Nathaniel’s fist collided with his jaw.
He stumbled, dazed, too shocked to fight back.
I didn’t look back. I Just grabbed my suitcase and walked toward the boarding gate.
Before leaving, I wiped every trace of myself from the packhouse and the pack’s records.
Not out of spite. But because moving on isn’t just for me–it’s for him, too.
And now? I was done looking back.
