Chapter 6o
Seeing the situation spiral out of control, Dariel’s eyes darted around. Suddenly, he blurted out another excuse, “Veronica must’ve been possessed!“”
Even Veronica was stunned.\
“What? Possessed?“\
Franco immediately latched onto it like a drowning man grabbing a rope.
He simply couldn’t bring himself to believe that his daughter could be involved in something so disgraceful.”
Dariel continued confidently, as if it were fact. “Back when Veronica was giving birth, Miguel hired a priest to perform a ritual for her so–called ‘safety.”
“After that, she suddenly became obsessed with the teddy bear. There must be a connection.“}
Without wasting another second, he continued, “I even stayed at their place for a few days and felt something was off. There was strange noises in the middle of the night…”
“One time I got up to use the bathroom and saw a shadow dart by–I thought I was hallucinating. But looking back, maybe it was something else.“\
Veronica’s parents nodded furiously, buying into the story.”
Then Dariel turned to me, his tone turned icy. “Miguel, you’re heartless.“}
“Veronica devoted everything to help you rise to success, and you repay her like this? This whole thing smells like a setup from the start.“}
Veronica, catching on, burst into tears. “No wonder you didn’t hesitate to throw our daughter to the ground. You wanted us both dead–so you could inherit everything, didn’t you?!“}
She even produced office surveillance footage to back her claims.}
It was a ridiculous accusation–but surprisingly, many in the courtroom started believing it.”
“My God, did he really use dark rituals to harm his own wife and child?“”
“No wonder his career suddenly took off. He was just a penniless orphan before the Campbell family took him in.“”
“Men like him are terrifying!”
Of course, not everyone was convinced.
“Ghosts? That’s all nonsense.“}
“There was probably someone inside that teddy bear.”
But the ones siding with Veronica pointed to the earlier footage–me pushing Dariel, causing my daughter to fall–as evidence of my malicious intent.-
Seeing that public opinion was swinging back in their favor, Dariel pressed on.”
“Miguel, you’d better sign the divorce and walk away with nothing. Save yourself the disgrace before it gets worse.”
i simply smiled and said calmly, “You really think your claims and ‘evidence‘ will stand up in court?”
“Hmph.” Dariel scoffed and turned eagerly to the judge.”
“Your Honor, Miguel remains defiant. I urge the court to punish him severely!“}
“Stop trying to control the narrative,” the judge snapped.”
Then he turned to the courtroom. “Everyone, let’s review the surveillance footage closely.“}
“In the video, Miguel does push Dariel–but the force isn’t enough to knock him over. There’s a clear pause, and he even supports himself on the table.””
The staff zoomed in on the footage.
Sure enough–Dariel clearly steadied himself on the table before intentionally falling.
He faked it.&
Everyone who had just been condemning me now stared at Dariel and Veronica in disbelief–faces full of anger and embarrassment./
They realized they had been manipulated.”
“Dariel,” Franco asked, eyes narrowed in confusion, “Why would you frame Miguel?”
After all, in his mind, Dariel had always acted as a peacekeeper. This behavior didn’t make sense.”
“I… I didn’t frame him,” Dariel stammered weakly. “Maybe my legs gave out… That’s why I fell.”
His excuse was feeble and unconvincing.
But Veronica quickly stepped in to cover for him. “Dariel had a leg injury before–his balance has always been a little off. It’s

But Veronica quickly stepped in to cover for him. “Dariel had a leg injury before–his balance has always been a little off. It’s
not that strange.”
Reluctantly, the crowd accepted the explanation.
The judge shook his head and said firmly, “There are no ghosts. I urge everyone not to indulge in superstition.“}
“And I believe the full truth lies in the third folder.“}
