The projector played Adrian and Rosalie’s scenes on repeat, Adrian’s suspicion of Jasmine stabbing at her heart again and again. The projector then showed a newer clip: Adrian cooking for Rosalie. His earlier harshness was gone, replaced by a warm smile. His gaze towards Rosalie was filled with tenderness and love, mirroring the love he once had for Jasmine.
“Jasmine, when can I call you my wife?”
“My darling Jasmine, I love you so much. Please say yes to my proposal.”
“Adrian loves Jasmine forever. Anyone who bullies Jasmine, I’ll fight them to the death.”
“Jasmine, I’m a great cook. Your meals are my responsibility. Only you deserve to eat what I cook. Not even my parents!”
“Jasmine, Rosalie saved you, and saved my life. Anyway, she’s an orphan, let’s take care of her.”
“I’m serious about Rosalie. She just wanted a lasting marriage, and I can give her that.”
Adrian’s words echoed in her ears–his promises, his declarations of love, his deceit–like needles piercing her eardrums. The man she loved in her memories began to separate from the Adrian on the screen, slowly fading from Jasmine’s heart.
Darkness fell completely. Helpless, she lay on the ground, letting the darkness and cold consume her.
When she regained consciousness, she shifted her body. The dried blood beneath her formed a long trail on the ground.
Her lower abdomen was numb. She struggled to her feet and walked away.
Warm sunlight fell, but couldn’t warm her icy heart.
She finally collapsed by the roadside, and was taken to the hospital.
“Ms. Holt, you suffered severe abdominal trauma; your uterus ruptured. We need to perform surgery to remove the remnants.
Jasmine didn’t react strongly to the doctor’s words. After losing the baby, she had accepted that she couldn’t have another child.
Let it be…
At least she could leave Adrian alive.
After surgery, Jasmine had just regained consciousness when she was gagged, hooded, and brought before Adrian. “Rosalie, I’ve brought her. Don’t get upset after we’re done,” Adrian said, his gaze softening when he looked at Rosalie.
Rosalie happily kissed Adrian, blinking her eyes.“I can do anything?”
“Anything you want. I’m here,” Adrian said indulgently. Even if it meant causing a death, he would take responsibility.
Rosalie clapped her hands triumphantly p

“What are you doing?” Jasmine recognized the urns as her parents‘. She tried to speak, but only managed to make muffled sounds.
‘Adrian, I want to grind the parents of the bad guy into dust,” Rosalie smirked, looking at Adrian.
“Okay.”
“No, Adrian! Look! They’re your in–laws. You made those urns yourself! Please stop her!” Jasmine cried, struggling, unable to speak clearly, only making whimpering sounds.
Adrian’s gaze remained fixed on Rosalie, completely ignoring the urns in her hands.
Despair washed over Jasmine as she watched the ashes scatter in the wind, her heart shattering into pieces.
Adrian, do you only see Rosalie…?
Jasmine was held by the bodyguards, unable to move, the pain consuming her nerves. She blacked out.
Seeing this, Rosalie scattered the remaining ashes.

“Adrian, let’s go. I’m not angry anymore.”
“Okay.” Adrian embraced her, slowing his pace as they passed the unconscious Jasmine.
But he didn’t even glance at her. He didn’t look back.
When Jasmine awoke, the ashes were gone.
She held the empty urns, her tears dried up.
She returned to the villa, taking her new identification documents. She looked at the villa where she’d lived for five years, a cynical smile on her lips.
Jasmine used a baseball bat to smash the Lego castle they’d built together, the sofa they’d chosen, the TV they’d ordered…
Jasmine used her last ounce of strength to destroy everything in the living room. Looking at the devastation, she laughed–a desolate, mournful
sound.
Discarding the bat, Jasmine used lipstick to write two lines on the wall.
Adrian, you betrayed me. Karma will get you. Do you remember?”
“The biggest regret of my life is falling in love with you!”
Jasmine left the villa without looking back, leaving everything she and Adrian had shared in ruins.
