Jackson put his arm around her waist and looked at me dismissively. “She probably can’t even afford to eat. It’s doing her a favor to let her be a cleaner.”
Then, Jackson threw a wedding invitation in my face. “Ginger, Jackson and Nannan are getting married in a month. You can come if you want, since we’ve known each other for so long.”
I threw the invitation in the trash and scoffed. “I’m fine. After all, you guys gave me $10 billion, and I’ve gotten a few good projects. Thanks to Nannan, these projects originally belonged to the Jones family, but you guys were too busy to take care of them. It was cheap for me.”

Jackson patted her on the shoulder. “Ginger, what are you so proud of? They’re just a few small contracts. Nannan let you have them out of kindness. Otherwise, why would people give up on the Jones family, which has been around for so long, and choose to cooperate with you?
They’re just doing it for the Jones family.”
“Our company’s goal is Smith Enterprises‘
billion–dollar project. We’re too lazy to bother
with those little ant–like projects. Someone
from Smith Enterprises came to our company
to learn about us. Smith Enterprises definitely
wants to work with our company. The public
selection is just a formality.”
I couldn’t help laughing.
The person in charge of Smith Enterprises
walked down. “Please follow me to the
conference room. Smith Enterprises‘ VP Smith
will decide the final selection.”
