Chapter 16
Jenny couldn’t believe how efficient Riley was, he managed to invite Cullen over on the same day.
After acupuncture, Jenny’s hands were able to stop shaking that same evening.
Jenny couldn’t believe it. Excitedly, she ran into the music room, picked up the violin, and started to play “The Last Rose of Summer“.
And Riley sat on the single sofa in the corner, staring intently at her playing the piano.
His eyes were serious yet filled with infinite admiration. In a trance, she felt like she had traveled back to her childhood.
She practiced the piano, and her parents sat quietly in front of her, watching her with eyes that looked at her like a treasure.
Knowing that she would eventually marry Samuel when she grew up, she had always looked forward to the day when her husband and parents, the three most important people in her life, could sit together like this and listen to her play.
Unexpectedly, later on, not only did Samuel look at her once become a luxury.
Seeing my parents again became a luxury.
Thinking back on her own experiences, Jenny poured all of her emotions into the music she was playing.
At the end of the song, she found that her hand could actually be restored

to its previous state.
Excited, she got a little carried away and gave Riley a hug.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she released him, only then did she realize that she had actually thrown herself into Riley’s arms!
“I… I saw you as my father.”
Jenny looked embarrassed.
Just a second ago, Riley was still immersed in happiness, but now he is feeling a bit bewildered.
He reached out and rubbed Jenny’s head, teasing, “Good daughter, the tuition fees were not paid in vain, really making me proud!”
“You took advantage of me!”
Jenny reached out to hit Riley with the bow..
Riley stuck out his tongue and dodged, saying, “You were the one who called me dad first.”
“You!”
Jenny continued to chase, but suddenly felt a sharp pain in her fingertips.
“Hiss…”
As soon as she felt the pain, the bow fell to the ground.
“What’s wrong?”
Riley immediately looked over and helped her steady herself.
“I…my fingers are starting to hurt again.” Jenny looked at her trembling fingertips and couldn’t help but frown. “Dr. Wallace warned me not to use

too much force with this hand for a few days after the acupuncture, but I
just couldn’t resist trying to play the piano and ended up finishing a whole. piece accidentally…”
Riley also blamed himself, “It’s my fault. I was so engrossed in listening that I forgot to remind you to take a break.
“I’ll give you a massage. Dr. Wallace just told me that you need to massage your fingers regularly in order to recover faster.
Riley took Jenny’s right hand into his palm as he spoke.
“I’ll do it myself… Jenny said, feeling a bit uncomfortable.”
But Riley held her hand tightly and said, “I was right there when Dr. Wallace taught you the massage techniques. I remembered every move. You can test me if you don’t believe it.”
The massage movements went from the palm to the back of the hand, and from the knuckles to the fingertips.
Riley gently touched Jenny’s hand.
He had undergone several years of training, and he had a small, special callus on his hand. Sometimes, when he accidentally touched her, it made Jenny’s fingertips itch.
“Hiss…”
“What’s wrong? Did I hurt you?”
Riley immediately stopped what he was doing.
“There was no…
Jenny’s hands were numb, and her heart was pounding.

Riley continued to massage her, not knowing whether he did it
intentionally or unintentionally. Just then, he said, “By the way, I’m going to sleep at home tonight. Perfect, I can give you a longer massage in bed. before going to sleep. Dr. Wallace said that massage is part of daily maintenance and should be taken seriously.”
“Understood…”
Jenny’s voice was as soft as a mosquito’s, even though Riley was talking about finger massages, it sounded a bit strange.
In order to prevent herself from overthinking, Jenny changed the subject: “By the way, why does your house have a piano room specifically for practicing?”
Jenny had already inquired and found out that this villa was newly renovated by Riley two years ago, and he did not live here before getting married, nor did he have any friends who liked musical instruments.
Most people wouldn’t inexplicably install a professional–level piano practice room in their homes, especially in a prime location like Silverbay Estate in Chicago.
“Why could…
Riley once again flashed his trademark cynical smile and said, “Just so I can have a daughter who can play the violin in the future.”
When he spoke, his gaze fell on Jenny, his eyes shining brightly, appearing both serious and playful at the same time.
For some reason, Jenny felt a warm stream slowly flowing through her heart.
