Reborn to run him 7

Chapter 7

That day, after I made my announcement, the calls came flooding in. Eden and Sara both reached out, urging me to come back. They wanted me to return to the pack, back to where it all began.

I refused, my voice firm and unwavering.

How could I let them drag me back into the cage I had just broken free from?

The day I was supposed to meet Alpha Goden, he showed up as usual—dressed to impress, looking like a force of nature.

His aura was unmistakable, predatory yet refined, and I could feel the eyes of everyone in the restaurant on him.

To avoid any prying eyes, I’d reserved a private room, but fate had other plans.

Just as I stepped inside, I felt the air shift. It was a presence I knew all too well, one that I had spent so many years trying to shake off.

Alpha Nicola.

Without warning, he stormed through the door, his face contorted with rage. His eyes burned with fury as he reached out and grabbed my wrist with a force that could’ve cracked bone.

“Elisa! You really betrayed me?!” he snarled, his voice low and seething. “I always thought you were just playing around, but now you’re really out here having dinner with him?”

He glared at Alpha Goden like a wolf sizing up its rival, eyes full of territorial aggression.

I couldn’t stop myself. I rolled my eyes, then, without hesitation, I twisted my wrist free and pinched the fat of his arm. Hard. He yelped, letting go of me.

I quickly stepped back, putting myself between him and Alpha Goden, my body an instinctive shield. My pulse quickened, the wolf in me stirring to life, as the tension in the air thickened.

Alpha Nicola’s eyes darkened, betrayal flashing across his face like an open wound. “Elisa, you’re protecting him?”

I crossed my arms, my voice sharp like a whip. “Why the hell would I protect you, of all people? You’re a trash alpha, a coward. I’m done being your backup.”

I glared at him, disgusted. “You don’t get to claim me as your own. You’ve already made your choice. You and Sasha… you can have each other, for all I care.”

He was seething now, his fists clenched, his wolf-like instincts raw and furious. “You think you can just walk away from me? You’ve crossed a line, Elisa!”

I leaned in, my voice icy and mocking. “You want to talk about lines? You’ve crossed every one of them. Don’t you remember? You’re the one who abandoned me, for that damn Sasha.”

I could see his fury building, his wolf snapping at the edges, ready to attack.

“Your problem is, Nicola,” I continued, my voice dripping with venom,

“you never even acknowledged me as your mate. You left me to rot while you ran off with her, flaunting your little affair for the world to see.”

His eyes narrowed, his teeth grinding. “You ruined everything!”

“No,” I snapped back, my hands trembling with the weight of the truth I was unleashing.

“ Sasha… she’s not what you think. She was playing you from the start.”

His breath hitched, and I could see the first signs of doubt creeping into his gaze. “What are you talking about?”

I smirked darkly.

“Sasha isn’t some angel,” I spat, my words slicing through the air with the force of a whip. “You think she’s been faithful to you? You think she’s been loyal all this time? She’s been playing you like a fool, Nicola.”

He blinked, confusion clouding his eyes, but I wasn’t going to stop. Not now. Not when the truth was ready to burn everything down.

“Sasha married to some rich old man from another pack. She played the widow, the grieving wife.”

His face drained of color, his jaw hanging slightly open, as if he couldn’t quite believe what I was saying. But I wasn’t done yet.

“When that old man died, do you know what she did next? She didn’t mourn him. No, she moved on to his son. That’s right, the very son of the man she pretended to care for. She didn’t waste a second before climbing into bed with him, just like she did with every other man who could give her what she wanted.”

I could see his whole world cracking, the pieces falling away. His hands trembled as he clenched them into fists, the wolf in him agitated, restless.

“Of course, that didn’t last. The son’s wife found out. She caught Sasha red-handed—probably in one of her little games. She exposed Sasha for what she really is: a gold-
digging, heartless woman who’s been playing everyone. That’s why after departing with you for many years, she went back for you.”

Nicola recoiled, his confusion turning to disbelief. “What… what are you saying? That she—?”

“Yes,” I interrupted, the bitterness in my tone undeniable.

“She didn’t care about you. She’s the one who’s been playing games with your head.”

I watched as his world crumbled in front of me.

“She’s using you, Nicola. And you’re too blind to see it.”

He stood there, speechless, staring at me as though I were some kind of monster. His eyes were wide with disbelief.

But I didn’t give him a moment to recover.

“Look at you,” I continued, my voice a lethal growl. “You’re not an alpha anymore. You’re just a fool.”

He stepped forward, desperation making him reckless. “Elisa, please, just come back to me. I’ll forgive you. You were just playing a game, right? You were just—”

I looked at him like he was beneath me. “You can’t just beg your way out of this, Nicola. Not this time.”

I turned away, not sparing him another glance. “I’m done. You’ve lost me.”

But just as I was about to walk out, he lunged forward, blocking my way. His eyes were wild, bloodshot, full of pain, desperation, and rage.

“Elisa, please,” he begged, his voice thick with tears. “Come back to me. I’ll forgive you. We’ll make it work. Just… just come with me.”

I met his gaze, my lips curling in a mixture of pity and disdain. “You’ve really lost it now, haven’t you? I’m not going anywhere with you, Nicola. I’m free. You can’t cage me anymore.”

I walked around him, my body brushing past his like a wolf slipping past its prey. Behind me, I heard him collapse, his cries echoing like the howl of a wounded animal.

I turned to Alpha Goden, who had remained calm and composed throughout the whole scene. “This place is full of unpleasant surprises. Let’s go somewhere else.”

He nodded, a small smile curling on his lips. “Lead the way.”
