Chapter 2
I subconsciously turned around, and Nathan walked out of the private room.
Three years had passed, yet his appearance remained unchanged.
He held a cigarette between his fingertips, his tone flat
“When did you come back?”
“Yesterday.”
“Why didn’t you come home?
I remained silent.
“Don’t run around when you come back, go back and see your parents.
I still didn’t respond, but instead I lowered my head and glanced at the watch on my wrist, my brows furrowing with impatience.
“Is there anything else?”
“Nathan’s gaze fell on my wrists, and he furrowed his brow slightly.
“Where is the bracelet?
I was slightly stunned.
Then remembered something
The face was tinged with mockery.
“Put it away
Threes
e years ago, I was confessed to by a boy, and Nathan didn’t say much after he found out.
He just started and beat up that boy, and then without saying a word, he took out the ancestral bracelet of the Hayes family and put it
on tise.
Nathan’s furrowed brow relaxed, his tone calm and steady.
“It’s just a small object, and it doesn’t need to be so precious.”
“Next time…”
“Nathan.”
Nathan’s words were not finished when a crisp voice interrupted from the side.
The girl in the compartment ran out, she approached Nathan and took hold of his arm, extending her hand towards me with a smile on her face.
Are you Claire? Hello, I am Isla Brooks. You can call me Isla, or you can call me… sister–in–law.”
She seemed a little embarrassed and, when it came to the last two words, she shyly looked up at Nathan
I really didn’t have enough time, and that man was really getting angry if it got any later.
I didn’t have time to play along with them here, so I quickly nodded at her and greeted, “Hello.”
Then he turned around and hurriedly walked forward. Before reaching the corner, he saw Samuel Foster leaning against the door frame.
He was dressed in black clothes, with a straight nose bridge, and his eyes were hidden in the dim light, making it difficult to see his
emotions.

Thin lips exploded under the spotlight, with graceful and sharp lines.
I took a quick step towards him.
Took out the gift that was placed in the pocket.
“Happy birthday!”
His gaze slowly lowered.
“You were late.”
I looked at my wristwatch, and at that moment, the hour hand had already pointed to midnight.
Today has already passed.
A touch of annoyance crossed my eyebrows and eyes.
If it weren’t for those two people I just met delaying me, I wouldn’t have missed it at all.
Samuel grabbed hold of my waist
He pressed down with a punishing force.
The flight was originally scheduled for 9 o’clock in the morning, and I would be able to come back before noon Samuel.
But because my school had a sudden matter, I was delayed and hurriedly returned only in the evening
I had promised to have dinner with him, but halfway there, something came up.
It has been a struggle until now.
