Harrington rolled his eyes. “You little shit, I told
you there’s always someone bigger and better!
That’s why you have to be careful!
“I’m telling you, Miss Sterling is someone we
can’t afford to cross. Your life depends on her
next words.”
Blake’s eyes went wide with terror. His voice
trembled.
“Miss Sterling, I was wrong. I’m so sorry.
Please, forgive me…”
I sat back in my chair, sipping my coffee and looking at them. “Harrington, you’re being too
hard on Blake. He’s not the one who started
this. It was his ‘sister‘. Blake was just sticking
up for his ‘sister“.”
Harrington slapped Blake again. “You idiot! Enough with the ‘sister‘ act! Get her out of
here, now!”
Willow saw the way the wind was blowing.
Blake couldn’t even save himself, let alone her.
Remembering her time in the basement, she
lost all the strength she had left.
She collapsed to the floor and started hitting
her head against the ground.
“Miss Sterling, I’m sorry! I was the idiot, the
cheap–ass wannabe! Please, have mercy!”
“Please, please, spare my life! I’ll do anything!”
Her head made a sickening thud as she beat
herself against the floor.
Blake finally bowed his head.
“Miss Sterling, I promise it will never happen
again, all I want is to be forgiven and hopefully
leave this place alive.”
I finished my coffee and put down the cup,
looking at them calmly. “You’re all acting like
I’m some kind of monster! This is America! I’m
not going to do anything illegal.”
Harrington asked tentatively, “So… you’re
forgiving us?”
I smiled. “Of course. You hurt me, but I got my
revenge. An eye for an eye. That’s enough.
Right?”
They started banging their heads on the floor,
thanking me for my forgiveness.
<
I cleared my throat. “Actually, I’m not just going
to forgive you. I’m going to reward you.”
They all looked at me, confused.
“I’ve heard that Willow is Blake’s girlfriend, but
he is not allowed by Harrington and Blake’s
father to be with her.
Now, that is going to change, so go and get marry immediately, if everything is done in the
next 7 days, I will call it even for you.”
“If I ever hear anything from you for not going
through, then your life will be a living hell.”
You will be sent out to the car right now.”
There were definitely some mixed feelings
about that.
Willow couldn’t believe her luck. She was finally
going to get her rich husband. She couldn’t
<
stop smiling.
But the smile on her disfigured face looked
creepy as hell.
Harrington was not pleased.
He never liked Willow, and she was the one who
got Blake into this mess. He hated her even
more.
I looked at the three of them, taking in their
expressions. “So? Can you do it?”
They all answered at once, promising they
could.
I smiled and waved. “The car to the courthouse
is waiting.”
They jumped up and ran out of there, as if
afraid I’d change my mind.
The filthy couple was dropped off at the County
Clerk’s Office.
The clerk tried not to gag at the stench. “Can I help you?”
Blake looked at Willow’s swollen face and
fought back a shudder.
Willow was lost in her dreams of marrying into the Harrington family. “We’re here to get a
marriage license.”
The clerk had seen a lot of strange things, but
this took the cake.
People usually dressed their best for their
marriage license photo. This couple looked like
they had crawled out of a dumpster. The guy
looked disgusted, and neither of them seemed
happy.
