Chapter 8
After settling Bella, Darwin went back home.
He was busy taking care of her and had not had a good night’s sleep for several days.
In the early morning, a sudden ringtone from the phone shattered the silence.
“Mr. Xavier, something happened to Ms. Rivera!”
When Darwin hurried to the hospital, he saw that the doctors and nurses were in chaos, and Bella was nowhere to be seen.
“Where are the people?”
Darwin furrowed his brow in irritation and grabbed a doctor’s collar, his tone unfriendly.
The doctor wiped his sweat and said nervously, “When the nurse came to check on Ms. Rivera at night, we didn’t see her. We thought the caregiver had taken her out for some fresh air, but we never expected…”
Darwin looked at him coldly, “Are you saying that she disappeared right under your noses?”
Upon hearing the words, everyone instantly held their breath.

Darwin approached and caught a faint whiff of a fishy smell.
He frowned, took out a gun, and had someone open it.
The moment the box was opened, everyone present stood still in shock.
Inside the box lay a person, her body covered in no good flesh, with blood oozing from every visible part, especially the lower half, which could only be described as a bloody mess.
Even more bizarrely, there was a large bow tied around the person’s neck.
Although her face was covered in blood, Darwin still recognized her at a glance.
Who was Bella, who did not go missing?
Darwin remained calm, although he was deeply saddened, he still reached out tremblingly and sighed his last breath.

There was still anger.

As they got closer, Darwin noticed that there was a line of text written on the thing tied around her neck.
“Darwin, I gave you a gift, I hope you like it.”
Darwin was taken aback again.
He recognized it because of the handwriting.
It was Tamara’s.
So Bella was the one who made her look like this!
The overwhelming anger instantly engulfed him.
Darwin tore the piece of paper into countless pieces.
How dare she?
How dare she make Bella look like this!
Darwin’s blood boiled, his eyes red with anger, gritting his teeth he said, “Go bring Tamara to me, this time I must make her understand the cost of provoking me!”
Upon hearing this, the butler made a phone call.
After hanging up, he avoided eye contact and said in a trembling voice, “Mr. Xavier, the hospital said that Ms. Saunders is missing.”
“What!”
Darwin was on the verge of going crazy,
“Dare to run! Then bring her mother to me, I want to see where she can hide!”
Who knew that the butler looked at him with a hint of surprise, hesitated, and said, “Mr. Xavier, don’t you know yet? Ms. Saunders‘ mother had a heart attack and passed away the night before last.”
Darwin almost thought he had misheard.
“What did you say? Who passed away?”
The butler saw that he really didn’t know about this matter, so he explained, “Mr. Xavier, Ms. Saunders‘ mother did indeed pass away the night before last, and Ms. Saunders had her body taken to the crematorium early yesterday morning.”
