Chapter 9
Giselle left Havenport the next day.
Victor sat in the studio, playing the Interview about Giselle over and over again.
The Intern asked, “And what about your feelings towards Mr. Laurent?”
Giselle smiled and replied, “I didn’t love anymore.”
I tried to find a trace of reluctance and unwillingness in Giselle’s eyes.
Got nothing
Suddenly, a message from Linden popped up.
Did you know that Giselle was going to marry Ethan?
Victor didn’t believe it, and quickly clicked into the chat box with Giselle
When wanting to question, yet not knowing in what capacity to place oneself.
The last message from Giselle was on the day we received the divorce certificate.
He said the assistant would come to pick her up at ten o’clock to go to the courthouse, and she replied with a single word “okay”
And then there was nothing.
Just like she disappeared from his life.
Victor kicked the cardboard box under the table in frustration, and the books inside scattered onto the floor.
He found one familiar notebook among them, which was Giselle’s diary.
He was stunned for two seconds, opened the diary, and each line of words hit his heart like a heavy hammer.
“Today, Victor confessed his feelings to me. I hope he will love me forever and ever.”
“Today, I tried on wedding dresses. They all said they were very beautiful, but Victor didn’t see. It doesn’t matter, I will give him a surprise on the wedding day!!!
I had been looking forward all day, but Victor stood me up again. Today is my birthday, I will never forgive him!!
“Victor, 1 was tired, I didn’t want you anymore.”
Victor’s fingertips trembled as he turned to the last page of the diary, which happened to be the day he filed for divorce.
“Vic, are you okay?” Sylvia rushed into the studio after hearing a loud bang
Seeing the diary in Victor’s hand, a trace of malice flashed in Sylvia’s eyes, but in an instant, she put on that hypocritical appearance again.
“Can I take a look at this diary?” Sylvia asked softly.
Victor remained immersed in grief, saying nothing.
She tiptoed to take a look and happened to see the last page of the d
“Vic, don’t worry.” H
“Gigi, how could I write these words if I loved you so much?”
Sylvia glanced at Victor with a sideways glance as she spoke, noticing his furrowed brow. She then added, “Maybe Gigi deliberately wrote these to gain sympathy, so that you would feel indebted to her. Don’t fall for it.”
As Sylvia was about to continue speaking, Victor could no longer bear it and forcefully closed the diary, suppressing his anger.
Just as she took a few steps, Victor turned back and coldly said to her, “Let’s move back to the hotel tomorrow,”
“Giselle know and got angry again.
Chipter
As the words fell, the smile on Sylvia’s face froze instantly.
When she came to her senses and chased after him, Victor had already gone downstairs without even putting of
At this moment, he had only one thought in his mind: to see Giselle and bring her home.
