Chapter 8
Silas’s POVI
Silas’s jaw clenched, and he lowered the phone slowly
Why would Willow turn off her phone? Was she just being petty because of what happened?%
What if something was wrong?
Sillas turned and marched toward the doors. He didn’t even realize how fast he was moving u
“Silas?”
He turned. Ana was standing in the hallway, leaning against the wall weakly.
“Where are you going?” she asked.!!
until he heard a soft voice behind him.
“I need to check on Willow. I haven’t heard from her, and she’s not in the clinic,” he said quickly. Til drive back to the Hall. Maybe she’s still there. I
Ana blinked in disbelief. “Seriously? Now?”
“I just need a few minutes,” he said
She frowned.
thought we agreed you would stay with me tonight,” she said, “You saw how much I’ve been through today. You saw what she did to me
Silas sighed. He ran a hand through his hair. He was getting impatient. “I know, but I’m not going for long. I just need to make sure she’s dot dead or something”
Ana stared at him for a second with an odd look in her eyes, then she folded her arms. “You’re worried about her now?”
“I’m womed about the blood,” he muttered.!
“She’s a werewolf. She’ll heal Ana said coldly. That was exactly what he had told himself.)
Yet, it did nothing to stop his worry.
He glanced at her. She noticed his hesitation and she decided to use another tactic.!!
“I’m tired, Silas” she added with a pout. “I need to rest, but I can’t sleep. I keep thinking about what happened. I need you with me.”
Silas didn’t respond for a moment, then he nodded. “Fine. Come with me. You can rest in the car
Ana looked at him like he had just grown a second head. “You want me to leave the clinic and drive around in the dark after what I went through?”
“It’s just a short drive. We’ll drive back home from there. It won’t take more than fifteen minutes,”
She narrowed her eyes but she didn’t argue again. Instead, she turned and walked back to the room to gather her things.”
Ana sat in
the p
passenger seat wrapped in a thick blanket.8
She sat quietly with a frown on her face, then she spoke up again.
“She’s probably hiding somewhere, trying to make you feel guilty,” she said. “That’s what women like her do.“!
Silas didn’t reply.
Ana huffed. “Honestly, I don’t know why you’re even doing this. You punished her. She brought it on herself.”
“She was bleeding badly. She’s supposed to be at the clinic by now.” Silas replied.
“Maybe she’s there, but you didn’t notice when she came in.
Silas shook his head. “No, she’s not there. I asked all the healers.“}
Her frown deepened, then she sighed. “Silas, my head hurts. Can we go back to the clinic to make sure everything is fine?”
He sighed, but to her surprise, he replied. “Fine, we’ll go to the clinic after we check the Hall. It will just take a few minutes.”
Ana was in disbelief. “You’re not doing this because you care, are you?”
“I’m doing this because it’s necessary,” Silas replied flatly. “You’re pregnant. If your test comes back and something’s wrong, we will still need her to complete the treatment.“);
Ana clenched her jaw, but she quickly looked away.
They didn’t say anything else as they approached the Pack’s Central Hall
“Wait for me here,” He said to her, and without waiting for a response, he stepped out of the car!!
Silps didn’t waste a second: He strode into the hall, Ignoring the omegas that were cleaning up after the celebration.
He didn’t reply to anyone’s greetings. He walked straight toward the bathroom where he last saw Willow
Immediately he opened the door, the sharp smell of blood hit him instantly, and he stepped inside slowly.!
He swallowed as he stared at the drying blood on the floor. It was a lot
His stomach tumed
Willow wasn’t here.!!
Someone had placed a wet mop and bucket nearby like they were planning to clean the blood.
Sklas stepped back, rubbing a hand over his face..
6:43 AM
Willow had lost too much blood. He turned away quickly, he couldn’t keep looking at it.
His mind started racing.
Where could she have gone? She wouldn’t have walked out in that condition. Someone mus He stormed back into the hallway and called the first person he saw.
“Did you see Luna Willow leave?” he asked sharply.
The man blinked in surprise. “No, Alpha. I–I thought she was with you”
“She was here earlier. She was bleeding. Did anyone see her leave the hall?”
The man shook his head quickly. “No, sir.”
Silas turned to another person. “You. Did anyone help her out? Did you see anyone take her?”
The woman frowned. “I didn’t see Luna Willow, Alpha. I was in the kitchen.”
Silas cursed under his breath.
Willow was injured, bleeding and alone.”
