Connor acted quickly. When I saw Minnie again, she was on her knees in an unfinished building, wearing a hood.
He smiled at me flatteringly. “I brought her here to get revenge for our child.”
After he pulled off her hood, Minnie recognized me and cursed even louder.
“Connor, what are you playing at? Didn’t you give him to me for practice? Stop pretending!”
Connor pulled out a scalpel and stabbed her repeatedly. Being a doctor, he knew exactly where to hurt without killing her.
“Shut up! If it weren’t for you, my son would still be alive. I’m going to avenge him today.”
Minnie immediately collapsed, tears and snot all over her face.
But Levi must have been much more terrified lying in that hospital bed.
Suddenly, Minnie seemed to remember something and shouted, “Connor, I’m pregnant! You just want a son. We also have a child!”
She hoped mentioning her pregnancy would save her life.
But to her surprise, Connor’s eyes turned red with anger.
“You just want me to be a cuckold!”
He then stabbed her more wildly.

Chapter 9
Minnie was confused. She had been involved with two men for years without being caught.
Panicked, a foul–smelling fluid started leaking from her. She was scared to even pee.
Noticing that Connor no longer cared about her, Minnie dropped all her acts and revealed her true colors.
“Even if you kill me, your son won’t come back!
“Do you think you’re so great? I only wanted to find a father for my unborn child, or I wouldn’t even care about you!”
I finally understood why she wanted Levi dead.
Minnie became more excited as she spoke.
“Only someone foolish like Stephanie is sincere to you. You’re just nothing.”
“Shut up!” Connor yelled, unable to hold back any longer, and stabbed
Minnie’s heart.
Clang!
The scalpel slipped from his hand, and Connor stared at his hands blankly.
“I’ve killed her. Stephanie, let’s leave this country and start fresh.
“We don’t need our kids–we can adopt. Let’s go now.”
I quietly stepped back and wiped away a few tears.
“Connor, the Ferguson family has already called the police. Stop this. Do it for your son.”

Chapter 9
Connor froze briefly. Then, he took me hostage and faced the police outside.
He whispered in my ear, “Stephanie, this is all I can do for you.”
After saying that, he pushed me toward the officers. As I turned and ran to them, he was shot dead.
Once I was safe, I pulled a USB drive from my pocket. Connor must have put it there.
It contained all the proof of the Ferguson family’s cruelty and their reckless behavior.
I gave the evidence to the police, and one by one, the Ferguson family’s
dark secrets came to light. More victims spoke up.
Everyone connected to the Ferguson family at NYU Langone Health was suspended while the investigation continued.
After getting revenge, I felt empty and broken. There was even a time I thought about ending my life.
One night, I dreamed of Levi.
He smiled and said, “Mom, the world is so big. Can you go see it for me? Don’t come to find me so soon.”
So, I took Levi’s photo, packed my bags, and traveled across my homeland.
I believe that one day, I’ll meet my son again in another life.
