Chapter 9
If there was one thing Cullen excelled at, it was selling lies
Freshly ousted from his own company, the self–proclaimed “business prodigy” began touting his grand venture into Al
With silver–tongued charm, he lured starry–eyed recruits, painting visions of Silicon Valley glory.
Anyone with basic business sense could spot the flaws in his plan–yet many still jumped ship to join him.
For seven glorious days, Cullen rode high.
Initial profits fueled his delusions of genius–until his Al model was exposed as fraudulent,
Overnight, his empire of smoke and mirrors collapsed
When investors demanded answers, they discovered Cullen’s masterstroke: he’d rigged the contracts, making them all the fraud victims.
The day after his bankruptcy, a red–eyed Cullen appeared at my office door.
“Elena, babe… It’s only been days since our seperation. Let’s get back together.”
His voice cracked with performative remorse. “The island the venom made me irrational. I never meant to-
“If you wan
want babies so badly.“1 interrupted, “go find your sweet Kiminy. You two are perfect together.”
Cullen’s face twisted into that infuriatingly patient expression.
Still jealous after all this time? I chose Kim because I’d already lost our child–I couldn’t lose another!”
He reached for my hand. “Don’t make this harder than it needs to be”

With a single button press, security dragged him out mid–tirade:
“You’re nothing without me! Plenty of women are waiting to be Mrs Tucker!”
The polished CEO venner had fully cracked, leaving his incompetent soul and arrogant self–esteem yelling alone on the noisy street.
Time would fly a and people would change.
Rejected by me, Cullen sought comfort in Kim’s arms–only to be met with a slap of reality
“You expect me to eat cake from the supermarket? Kim sneered at his humble offering, her pregnant belly protruding like a royal scepter.
Collen forced a smile. “Just temporary cash flow issues, sweetheart. Soon I’ll→”
“Now! Or you don’t love me The cake splattered across his forehead like clown makeup
Cullen couldn’t stand anymore and stormed out of the house.
The night, drowning in Tequila, Cullen was sitting in the rain by the river for 3 hours.
He was finally calmed down by the alcohol.
“Kimmy’s hormones are just out of whack, he muttered, “I’m about to be a father, how could I be so chuldish?”
Thinking of this, Cullen gritted his teeth and borrowed a loan to buy Kim her favorite branded handbag, preparing to go home and apologize to her. As soon as he walked to the doorstep, he saw an incredible scene.
