Chapter 14
She walked over as usual and sat next to Wallace. “Morning, Wallace.”
Wallace nodded, looking at her lovingly. “Does school start today?”
Alarieka nodded. “Yes.”
Wallace said, “You and Clarissa are classmates, and you both have exam week coming up. Help each other and get into a good university.”
Clarissa slowly rolled her eyes but didn’t dare to argue in front of Wallace.
Wallace suddenly said, “Even if you can’t get into a good university, it doesn’t matter. We can afford to send you abroad to study.”
Alarieka agreed vaguely.
Unfortunately, in the past, when Wallace found out that she was pregnant with Kieran’s child, he forbade her from going to school.
Not to mention studying abroad, she couldn’t even handle a normal exam week.
Alarieka was enjoying her breakfast when she heard a door open upstairs.
Curious to see what was going on, she looked up.
There, at the bedroom door, Kieran was carefully helping Roschelle down the stairs.
They were both still in yesterday’s clothes.
Roschelle looked really weak and needed help. Kieran was being super

careful.
Alarieka quickly looked away and met Clarissa’s mocking gaze.
She raised an eyebrow and smiled at Clarissa, who froze.
In a flash, Kieran had Roschelle seated at the dining table right across from Alarieka.
Eager to tease, Clarissa looked between them and asked, “Kieran, Rose, what did you two do last night? Did you make up? I didn’t see you come out all night.”
Tamika turned pale when she saw them coming out of the room together.
Roschelle’s face was actually a bit pale. After hearing Clarissa’s words, she blushed and didn’t dare to look up.
“No, Rissa, don’t talk nonsense.”
Clarissa still wanted to find out more. “Kieran, tell me. What did you do

gave her a faint look, his voice hoarse and imposing. “Stop asking. cus on your breakfast.”
Hearing this, Clarissa still had a smile on her face. “There must be something going on. Otherwise, why wouldn’t you tell me?”
Roschelle’s face turned even redder, and her head was almost buried in
the table.
Wallace didn’t want to get involved in their business. He didn’t ask further.
Alaricka was eating quietly, not knowing what had offended Kieran.
Clarissa laughed right away. “Great.”
drive you to school later.
“I didn’t mean you. Glenn will take you,” Kieran said.
Clarissa nearly dropped her fork. “Then who are you taking to school?”
Alarieka sipped her cereal. “Can I refuse?” she asked.
“No way,” Kieran replied.
The Argent’s villa was halfway up a mountain, far from the bus stop. Alarieka had no choice but to rely on Glenn, the driver.
If Kieran insisted on driving her, she couldn’t say no.
As soon as she got into Kieran’s car, Alarieka felt uneasy.
She sat next to him, clutching her backpack protectively in front of her.
Kieran wore gold–rimmed glasses, scanning company documents on a tablet. The blue glow from the screen softly lit his face, highlighting his sharp features.
He sat quietly, focused on the documents.
Alarieka wished he’d stay silent the whole ride.
But then, Kieran took off his glasses, shut the tablet, and spoke in a cold, clear voice, “You said I was disgusting?”
Alarieka was shocked. She forced herself to stay calm and said, “No, you heard wrong.”
She never expected that Kieran would still remember what happened last night and her words.

“Didn’t he mistake me for Roschelle?” she wondered.
Suddenly, Kieran reached out, grabbed her waist, and despite her refusal, forcefully pulled her onto his lap.
