Chapter 8
“Take it slow in those high heels. Don’t trip and fall!”
Alarieka’s heart skipped a beat.
Roschelle actually showed up early.
In Alarieka’s last life, Kieran went to Birkwell to bring her back.
This time, she turned up at the Argent’s villa so soon.
Alarieka clenched her fists and stared hard at Roschelle.
She was the one who had caused Nina’s death.
Seeing her smiling brightly, Alarieka felt a deep, intense hatred. It was so strong that she could hardly breathe. All she could think about was how Nina had died in her arms.
Roschelle had admitted that she set up the car accident that killed Nina.
Nina had been so young and healthy, yet she died at the age of five because of Roschelle, and she didn’t even have a proper grave.
Ironically, Roschelle and her son ended up with everything.
After answering Roschelle, Clarissa turned around and looked at Alarieka with a mocking smile.
“Now that Rose is here, why don’t we go meet her together?”
Alarieka sneered.
Of course, she’d meet Roschelle.

Chapter 5
She was gonna make that bitch pay the price she deserved!
Standing in the living room, she watched as Kieran pulled Roschelle’s pink suitcase through the door. His eyes quietly followed Roschelle as she rushed toward Clarissa, the gaze strangely gentle.
Roschelle took the gift bags from Kieran’s hand and handed them to Clarissa and Wallace.
“Rissa, these are the gifts I got for you and Sir Argent. Check them out and see if you like them.”
Clarissa let out a low scream, her face lit up with a happy smile. “How’d you know I’ve always wanted this necklace?”
Roschelle smiled gently and softly patted her head.
Wallace took a quick look at the health stuff in the bag. “Make yourself at home. I’ve got things to do. Gotta go.”
Roschelle smiled shyly. “Thank you.”
Then, she stood next to Kieran and linked her arm with his. She looked. over at Alarieka like she just noticed her and gave a polite but kinda
distant smile.
“Sorry, Ms. Huston, I didn’t get you a gift. You’re not mad, are you?”
Alarieka looked at her with a poker face, not answering her question. “If that’s all, I’ll head upstairs.”
Before Roschelle could get a word in, Kieran’s face got all serious.
Clarissa walked up with a sneer, “Alarieka, what the hell is wrong with you? Rose came over as a guest, and this is how you treat her?”
Alarieka replied calmly, “I’m happy to have her.”
Chapter
Clarissa scoffed, “Who are you trying to kid?”

“Rissa.” Roschelle looked embarrassed as she said softly, “It’s fine. Ms. Huston is one of you. She can go wherever she wants. Come to think of it, I should say sorry.”
She held Kieran’s arm and looked at Alarieka, seeming a bit shy and
sorry.
“I really missed Kier, so I showed up without calling first. Ms. Huston, you’re not upset, are you?”
Clarissa sneered, is in this family? She doesn’t
“Who does she think she get a say here. She should be grateful that Grandpa took her in. No one here, except for him, gives a damn about her.
“Rose, make yourself at home. No need to waste energy on someone who’s eaten up with jealousy.”
Roschelle lowered her eyes, an unreadable smile playing on her lips. She moved closer to Kieran and whispered, “Is it okay to say it like that?”
Clarissa said arrogantly, “What’s the big deal? She’d better behave herself. Otherwise, I’ll kick her out sooner or later.”
Her eyes burned into Alarieka. She wanted to see her flinch and crumble.
