His hair wasn’t dry and fell over his forehead,
all soft and wet.
The comments went batshit crazy.
The comments flashing so fast I could barely
see Leo’s face. “Where are the clothes I gave you?”
Leo was expressionless. “Fell on the floor. Got
wet.”
But the comments were already swarming. “Lies! He threw them away himself! He doesn’t want to wear your ex’s clothes.”
“Ha! No wonder Leo becomes a success. The dude’s been scheming since he was a kid!”
I tried to ignore the madness and rubbed my temples. “I threw your dirty clothes away. Hang on, I’ll go buy you something.”

“Didn’t you say I sprained your ankle? Now you
can walk?”
I’d forgotten about that.
I’d let Leo stay at my place because he was “taking care of me.”
I coughed awkwardly. “I can’t. It still hurts.”
Leo was silent for two seconds and then
nodded toward the balcony. “I’ll just wear that.”
“Huh?”
I followed his gaze and saw he meant my old
hoodie.
I’d bought it a few sizes too big because it was
comfortable.
I hesitated. “But… I’ve worn that…”
“Fine, whatever. I’m not cold.”
“Okay, okay!”
I just knew something crazy was about to pop
up in the comments, so I yelled, “Put it on.
Right now!”

I also didn’t expect Maisie to freak out so fast after Justin’s proposal.
I’d barely gotten Leo into the hoodie when she called.
She said, “Liv, did you and Justin have a fight?”

Maybe two hours had passed since Justin and I
split.
Maisie’s intel was lightning–fast.
I couldn’t help but smirk, but I replied, “No fight.
We broke up.”
“Broke up?”
Maisie’s voice went up an octave. “Why? You
love him!”
Her voice was so loud that Leo, who was next
to me, glanced over.
He got up and walked towards the kitchen,
probably to give me some privacy.
く
I asked, “Where are you going?”
“Making food.”
“No need, I ordered takeout.”
