Chapter 21
Chapter 21
-Emily Reign–Apollo’s Mom-
“This tea is simply lovely, Anastasia,” I smile. I don’t think I’ve tasted better than this before.
The day was absolutely enchanting and it was most definitely a beautiful day to be ourside. The sky stretched out in a brilliant shade, while the sun cast its warm golden rays, enveloping everything in a soft glow. A gentle breeze fluttered through my hair as 1 breathed in the crisp, rejuvenating

She smiles. “What a lovely thing to say. Emily. I am quite honored that you like it.”
We finally got the opportunity to meet and discuss our children’s futures. While we’ve both been very busy the past few weeks, we finally down and made time for this
“How have things been with Apollo?” Anastasia asks me as she sips the tea in front of her. “I know he is back with his father these last few months. You must miss him dearly.”
It was true. It was always hard when Apollo left to be with his father. After the divorce, he stayed with me a lot. However, when his father remarried, things changed dramatically. Apollo preferred to spend more time with his father’s new family. It always bothered me, but he reassured me that he preferred the academy there over the prestigious one I’d chosen for him. That was his reasoning for being with his father more often than with me. I hurt at first, but I’ve gotten better at dealing with the pain. Besides, my son made sure to answer all of my calls and keep me up to date on everything happening in his life.
“I spoke to him almost an hour ago, I tell her. “But I will probably call him again after finishing this lovely tea
She smiles. “You are so lucky that your son lets you call him so often. If I tried calling my son that much, he would simply get upset with me. I don’t know how you’ve convinced Apollo to let you call that much. I would love to know the secret.
I sigh. “Apollo is unlike many sons. He is a sweet boy. He always does whatever he can to make me happy. I have yet so ask him something, and he doesn’t get it done. He truly loves his mom.”
Bragging about Apollo often came naturally to me. Everyone was always envious of my relationship with him, I knew that I was lucky to have who treasured his mother this much. He would do anything for me and it was something that led me with so much pride and joy.
“Except the dinner with my daughter.” She says in a sly remark.
I immediately knew that she’d intentionally thrown an insult my way.
SOL
I have been trying to get Apollo to agree to this dinner for weeks, but he kept turning me down. This is the first time he’s ever turned me down like lisis, and it was genuinely upsetting.
“He has been busy, unfortunately,” I inform her. “He will never turn me down unless there is a perfectly good explanation”
It was a lie. The real reason Apollo turned this offer down was because he wasn’t ready to seule down. I blamed his father for this. If he had been staying with me, i would have never allowed him to sleep around with so many girl. He’d gotten so used to that lifestyle that he didn’t want to give it up just yet
“Jada has been talking nonstop about him,” she informs me. “She’s seen all of the pictures with him, making her impatient. She cannot wait to meet him in person,
I knew that Jada was impatient. She has been calling my phone quite often to find out about my son and when she will get the opportunity to meet him. I could not blame the sweet girl. My son was very good–looking and attracted many girls without even trying. I knew she would have liked him the second I showed her those pictures of him. I was even generous enough to let her keep some
However, this is the first tithe Apollo has ever given me a hard time.
I need to find another way to convince him to meet her. He is my son, after all; I know how to guil–trip him into doing certain things for me
“Tell her that she does not need to worry?” I assure her as I take another sip of my tea. “My son always listens to me. She does not have to worry about this at all. He will do whatever I tell him to do. All I need is to wait until he has some free time”
Anastasia sighs and gazes around at the horse ranch. “This place is incredible. I can’t wait for your son to get this ranch and everything my family
She knew I loved hearing everything would be passed onto Apollo once jada and he got along.
“I agree,” I murmur under my breath, mesmerized by the graceful horses as they trot back and forth in front of us. The rhythmic sound of their loves striking the ground creates a soothing layma; they move with such elegance that all I can do is state in awe. Horses were favorite animals I could stare at them for hours and never get bored.
\She drags her gaze away from the majestic creatures to look at me again. “Are
my
-you sure e that you can get your son to agree?” she asks me.

I want to roll my eyes but refrain from such actions,
“Like I’ve told you before. Apollo knows that this is important to me, and becmise of that, he will do as I say I remind her of one of our earlier conversations. “I have never kept this from him. Apollo knows he needs to form a relationship with Jada; he is simply prolonging it. As you know, my son is still very young and wants to explore before he settles down.”
She looks at me disapprovingly. “Have you never spoken to him about what happens to men who explore too much?”
I smile. “You do not need to worry about my son exploring. You are getting ton worked up over this, Anastasia. When the time is right, Apollo will be properly introduced to your daughter, and everything will go as planned. There is nothing and no one on this earth that can stop this joining from happening. We will be a family soon”
I meant
that promise to her.
Apollo will do as I say, just like he’s always done.
