Chapter33
“Roderick, you are such a hypocrite.”
Andrea opened her phone and threw the message in Roderick’s
face.
Looking at his number and the message above, Roderick quickly
took out his phone, but it was empty.
Grabbed Andrea’s wrist to try to explain.
Just as I touched Andrea’s wrist, she immediately jerked it away
in disgust.
“Roll!”
Andrea dragged her tired body away, now she doesn’t trust
Roderick at all.
Roderick looked at the text message in his hand, then
remembered Matilda’s sneaky actions just now, and instantly
understood everything.
Left here straight to Matilda.
“Roderick? What’s wrong with your face?”
Chapter33
When Matilda opened the door, she saw the lingering
handprint on Roderick’s face, and she wanted to touch it with a
pained expression.
His hand hadn’t even touched her cheek when it was firmly
grabbed.
“Roderick, you hurt me!”
“Was it you who sent the message, leading Andie to Muse Club?”
Roderick’s deep voice was full of anger.
“I… didn’t understand what you were saying,” Matilda avoided
eye contact, clearly feeling a bit guilty.
As soon as the words fell, a pair of big hands tightly grabbed her
neck.
The feeling of suffocation instantly made her feel
overwhelmed, desperately slapping Roderick’s hand.
“I warned you, don’t touch Andie again.”
Roderick was like a wild beast, Matilda didn’t dare to argue
anymore, just nodded desperately.
“Mr. Hodgson, Ms. Rehbein fainted and was taken to the
hospital.”
Chapter33
After ditching Matilda, Roderick turned around and headed
back to the hospital.
Matilda, with a face full of resentment, sat slumped on the
ground, her clenched fists pounding fiercely on the floor.
Andrea in the hospital bed was like a zombie, shutting herself in
the room without saying a word.
“Andie, want a bite?”
Roderick scooped a spoonful of warm porridge and handed it to
Andrea’s lips.
He added red dates and goji berries to the porridge, which was
specially cooked by the chef at home.
Andrea’s gaze was still empty, she did
even want to open her
mouth.
Since that happened, her soul felt like it was ripped out of her
body, leaving only an empty shell lying in bed.
Roderick’s Adam’s apple bobbed, a hint of pain flickering in his
eyes.
He put down the bowl of porridge and gently wiped away the
porridge stains at the corner of Andrea’s mouth, “Do you want

to watch TV? Or should I read you a book?”
No answer.
Andrea just slightly turned her head and looked out the
window.
The May sunshine shone through the glass onto her pale face, but couldn’t reach her dark eyes.
Roderick took a deep breath, got up and went to pour some water.
When he turned away from Andrea, his shoulders slumped slightly, but when he turned back, he regained that gentle and patient look.
“The doctor said you need to drink more water,” he brought the straw close to her lips.
Andrea suddenly asked in a hoarse voice that didn’t sound like herself, “What’s your phone password?”
Roderick’s hand paused for a moment, a hint of surprise flashed
in his eyes, followed by an unmistakable joy.
This is the first time she has talked to him on her own these
days.
Chapter33
“Our anniversary, 0520.”
He didn’t hesitate at all and even smiled, “Do you want it?”
He took out his phone from his pocket, unlocked it, and handed
it to her.
Andrea stared at the lock screen, it was a photo they took at the
beach last summer. She was smiling so brightly, and Roderick
was looking at her, his eyes full of indulgence.
