Chapter 24
It was his tell before he lost it.
She was all too familiar with it.
As he strode out of the banquet hall with her in his arms, she
could feel countless gazes on her back, especially a piercing glare
from the stage.
He kicked open the door to the second–floor lounge and then
kicked it shut with great force.
Then he tossed her onto the sofa. Though his movements
seemed brutal, he used his hand to cushion her back
imperceptibly before it slammed into the soft cushions.
“Why were you staring at him?” He knelt on one knee in front
of her, gripping her chin.
She turned away. “I wasn’t.”
“Liar.”
Rubbing her lips with his thumb, he gradually exerted more
force. “You couldn’t even look away from him. It made you look
like an unwanted puppy.”

Chapter 24
Humiliation overwhelmed her in the blink of an eye.
She closed her eyes, not wanting him to see her vulnerability.
In the next second, he held her sprained ankle and massaged it
gently with his warm hand.
“Does it hurt?” His voice suddenly became gentle again.
She shook her head, not daring to open her eyes.
She was worried that once their gazes met, he’d see through her
once again.
He slowly slid his hand upward along her calf, and she couldn’t
help but tremble as his fingertips traced her skin under the silk
gown.
Feeling this, she opened her eyes abruptly. As expected, she met
his unfathomable eyes right away.
“Don’t… Our classmates are all outside.” She reached out, trying
to stop him, but he clasped her wrists and pinned them above
her head.
“So?”
He leaned over, the tip of his nose touching hers, his warm
breath brushing against her face. “Andie, you’re mine. I’ll claim

you whenever and wherever I want to.”
After saying this, he kissed her domineeringly, leaving no room
for refutation.
Being forced to endure his kiss, she tried to knee him in the
groin, but he swiftly caught her knee.
“Andie, are you trying to leave me impotent? Need I remind you
that it will only ruin your happiness for the rest of your life?”
As he slid his hand underneath her clothes, someone knocked
on the door suddenly.
“Ms. Rehbein?”
Quinn’s cool voice rang out outside the door.
Andrea froze for a second. Then she instinctively wanted to
push Roderick away, only to be pinned down even more tightly.
“You dropped your earring,” Quinn continued.
Somehow, there seemed to be a faint smile in his voice. “I’m here
to give it back to you.”
Only then did she realize the diamond earring on her left ear
was missing.
Chapter 24
Roderick bit her earlobe punitively and whispered, “Tell him to
piss off”
“I–I’ll come to you later.” She tried her best to sound calm and
composed, but Roderick’s sudden touch made a soft groan
escape her throat.
Quinn fell silent for a few seconds.
Then he said, his voice as calm as ever, “Alright.
“Where should we meet? The garden? Or the library?”
Roderick paused slightly, a hint of anger flashing across his
eyes.
He then exerted more force, and Andrea had to bite her lip hard
so as not to make any sound.
“I–I’ll contact you later,” she said with great difficulty.
“Alright. I’ll be waiting then.” Quinn chuckled. “Take your time.”
As his footsteps faded away, she breathed a sigh of relief. Just
then, Roderick ripped her gown collar open and bit down on her
collarbone hard.
She couldn’t help but let out a cry in pain.
Chapter 24
Even tears were welling up in her eyes.
