Chapter 7
When Knox woke up, he found himself lying in a hospital bed.[]
Anxious to handle my funeral arrangements, he had barely gotten to his feet when Skylar rushed into his arms, her face streaked with tears.
Knox pushed her away in disgust, and Skylar immediately clutched her chest:[]
“Knox… you’ve been unconscious for three whole days! I was terrified the doctors would tell me you’d never wake up. If that happened, my baby and I wouldn’t want to live anymore.“]
At this point, Skylar had no idea that Knox had already met with those thugs, nor that he knew everything that day had been her elaborate scheme.[]
Still basking in the reality of my death, she continued rambling, completely missing the dark expression on his face.
“If you ask me, Reagan was so ungrateful. Just to compete with me for your attention, she jumped into the ocean. Did she think that would win your heart? She was so manipulative!”
“But I guess she got what she deserved. Oh, by the way, Knox, while you were unconscious, I took care of the funeral arrangements. I was worried her ashes put in house might harm the baby, so I put them in the garbage can in the backyard…“]}]
Before she could finish, Knox suddenly grabbed her by the throat, his face dark as if he wanted to murder her.
“Knox… Knox… What are you… doing?!“]]
Knox tightened his grip. “Who gave you the right? Who allowed you to touch Reagan’s body? I’ll kill you, YOU BITCH!!“||
Skylar started crying in terror:[]
“Knox… Knox, but….but don’t you love me? You said so yourself! Have you forgotten? You said if it weren’t for that marriage certificate, you would be with me. Now that Reagan is dead, I was just trying to help you while you were unconscious… What did I do WRONG?!“]
Knox’s eyes were frighteningly red as he increased his grip, making Skylar’s eyes roll back.]
“Skylar, you dare ask what you did wrong? Those thugs that day–you hired them, didn’t you? You framed Reagan and made me kill our child with my own hands. You’ll pay with your life!!“[]
“And who do you think you are? To me, you’re nothing but a rag to be used and thrown away! Saying I loved you was just to manipulate you. The only person I’ve ever truly loved is Reagan!“]
“Since you hurt her, I’ll FUCKING KILL YOU!“[]
As his grip tightened, Skylar frantically flailed her limbs, terrified to the point where she lost control of her bladder.}
She desperately pleaded:[]
“Knox, I didn’t mean to! I was wrong, I REALLY was wrong!“]
“I was out of my mind when I hired those men to frame her, but jumping into the ocean was her own choice–it had nothing to do with me!! Please, I… I can’t breathe, Knox! I’m carrying your child!“[]
Chapter 7
At the mention of the child, Knox’s hand hesitated, and he shoved her roughly aside.[]
Now, Skylar abandoned all dignity, lying on the floor and gasping for air.]
Having survived this close call, she carefully approached him with her pregnant belly, trying to appease him:[]
“Knox, I know I was wrong. I’ll never upset you again. For the sake of our baby, please forgive me, okay?“]
She was confident Knox wouldn’t harm her. She remembered how happy he had been when he learned of her pregnancy–this was her get–out–of–jail–free card.]
But to her surprise, Knox’s eyes were venomous, his entire demeanor terrifying.
“Even now, you dare mention the child? Don’t tell me you think this bastard child will save you!“]
“If Reagan could have gotten pregnant, do you think I would have kept your child?“]
With that, he stepped forward and violently kicked her in the stomach.
Skylar screamed, her eyes filled with terror, but he gave her no chance to escape. He ground his foot into her belly with all his strength.
Until dark red liquid began flowing down her inner thighs…
Skylar writhed in agony on the floor, begging for mercy, but Knox didn’t even glance at her as he called his bodyguard:
“Take this woman to the operating room and remove her uterus along with the fetus.“]
“Remember, no anesthesia. I want her to remember the price of hurting Reagan!”
