I walked over expressionlessly.
Seeing my cold gaze, disappointment flashed in his eyes. His eyes were red as his voice unconsciously trembled slightly:
“Natalie, I’m sorry.”
I lowered my head, looking at the disheveled Gabriel. There was no sense of satisfaction in my heart as I said coldly:
“What are you doing here?”
“Did you come to visit the child’s grave? Or do you want me to sign another settlement to exonerate her?”
Gabriel shook his head. His Adam’s apple bobbed painfully as each breath shook with tears. His voice was hoarse:
“Natalie… I didn’t know about the baby. I didn’t tell anyone to block the door…”

er savagely.
I glared at him hatefully, wishing I could flay this man alive as I said icily:
“You didn’t know! You don’t know anything!”
“Are you an idiot? You don’t know! Can’t your eyes see? Can’t your ears hear? Can’t you use your brain?!”
“If you had hesitated even once, if you had made one phone call! Or if you had been a little kinder, our baby wouldn’t have died so tragically!”
Gabriel’s face instantly went white. Each accusation shattered his heart. The pain made even breathing agonizing as his tears turned scalding
and bitter.
He felt too guilty to respond.
Seeing his avoidant gaze, I let out a cold laugh:
“Gabriel, let’s get divorced.”
“I’ll send you the divorce papers.”
“If you won’t sign, that’s fine. I’ll file for divorce in court.”
Hearing this, Gabriel’s eyes suddenly widened. His bloodless lips stammered:
“Natalie… I don’t want a divorce…”
Gabriel collapsed to his knees behind me, his anguished cries and shouts echoing:
“Natalie! I won’t divorce you!”
Before leaving, Frederick held my hand and said:
Chloe has been arrested… Gabriel is also under investigation.”
“Natalie, all the bad things are over now. My parents and I will always be behind you. You still have us.”
