Ryan got someone to deliver lots of medicinal herbs and nourishing food
to me.
The scar on my forehead had scabbed over. Every time I change the dressing, I always think of his red ears that day, and I feel a warmth deep down.
That day, I walked into a haute couture store and heard Stella’s sweet voice as soon as I entered.
“Marcus, I like all of these!”
As she spoke, her hand was caressing her lower abdomen somewhat intentionally.
Marcus said in a doting tone, “Buy whatever you like and put it on Zoe’s tab.”
I sneered and pushed the door open.
When Marcus saw me, he didn’t look guilty at all. Instead, he looked confident. “You pushed Stella before and got her injured. Think of these as your gesture of apology to her.”
Stella suddenly set her eyes on the coat I had on me, and her eyes “Marcus, the coat that Ms. Carrigan is wearing. I want it too.”
