leaving you?”
He looked at me with a self–satisfied grin, his eyes glinting with smug triumph.
But to me, he looked no different from a clown.
Under everyone’s watchful gaze, Patrick finally arrived.
He wore a tailored, casual suit. A few bodyguards followed close behind. He looked nonchalant, almost careless, but his presence was overpowering
The moment he stepped into the banquet hall, the entire room fell silent.
The very same nobles and elites who had been arrogant just moments ago now looked at him with eager, flattering smiles, each one hoping to catch his
eye.
Dominic quickly let go of Beatrice’s hand and adjusted his collar.
Then he walked over to Patrick with a sycophantic smile plastered on his face.
“Mr. Fitzroy, it’s an honor to have you grace the Carter Group with your presence!” he gashed.
Patrick grinned lazily at him and said in a relaxed tone, “I heard someone say you’re the richest man around here. Is that true?”
Pleased that his repuration had reached Patrick’s ears, Dominic loosened his tie and replied proudly. “I wouldn’t say I’m the richest, but in Helio City, people do show me some respect.”
Then he gave Patrick a flattering look and added,

At those words, Dominic stiffened. He straightened his back and quickly said, “Who would dare destroy your place, Mr. Fitzroy? I’ll find them and make them pay right now!”

“And I heard… be’s your most trusted man.”
Dominic’s face turned ghostly pale.
Ho swallowed hard and stammered,

“Please don’t take offense, Mr. Fitzroy. There must be some kind of misunderstanding. My people probably didn’t know the place belonged to you.”
Juif they had, they wouldn’t have dared go near it, let alone touch
Dominic was visibly shaking his voice trembling with fear.
Patrick gave him a faint smile and said lightly, “No need to be so nervous.
“Today is your company’s 30th anniversary, isn’t it? I came to bring you a gift. Did you forget?”
Seeing no anger on Patrick’s face, Dominic finally let out a long sigh of reliét.
“Thank you, Mr. Fitzroy. It’s truly an honor that you made a special trip to celebrate with me.”
Patrick gave a small chuckle but said nothing.
