Fated to my twin 140

Chapter140

She exhaled slowly, her expression softening. “I know you’re

scared. But shutting everyone out, pushing them away, won’t

make it better.”

That’s enough of her. I turned to Asher. “I want her out of here

by tomorrow morning.”

“You’re letting your anger blind you.” Charlotte said with a

frown. “I’ll pretend that I didn’t hear all that. But talk to the Seer

again when you come down. You need to at least figure out

what she knows and what needs to be done for your babe.”

With that, she and Olivia left the room, leaving us alone.

Asher looked worried, “Maybe we should get the Seer back

here-”

“No.” I folded my arms, standing my ground. “The Seer and her

stupid ass warnings have done nothing but cause us pain.”

Asher sighed, “I get it, but being angry won’t change reality.

Maybe there’s something she knows that could help us.”

Chapter 149

“Help us?” I laughed bitterly. “We’ve been clinging to the illusion that things will get better, but they never do. It’s just one nightmare after another, and I’m exhausted. I can’t keep

doing this. I can’t keep pretending that this life doesn’t come at a

cost.”

His expression darkened. “What exactly are you saying?”

I rested my head against his chest, murmuring, “I’m saying the Moon Goddess made a mistake. I was never meant for this. I’m not strong enough for this. And I won’t let my children grow up

in this cursed cycle.”

A muscle ticked in Asher’s jaw“I hear your words, but I don’t understand a damn thing you’re saying. What the hell do you

mean by that?”

“You grew up in this life,” I whispered. “You were raised to fight, to lead, to suffer through loss after loss. But I refuse to let

that be my children’s future. I won’t let them grow up in a

world that only takes from them.”

I took a shaky breath, my fingers instinctively brushing over

my stomach. “If my baby’s life is truly at risk here, then I’m

leaving. I’ll take Mia and this babe with me and go somewhere

far from here, somewhere we can be safe. If you want to come

Chapter 140

with me, fine. If not.I also respect that, but I won’t look back.”

Asher’s entire body went rigid. He suddenly pulled away, his eyes burning with rage and pain.

“You’re asking me to abandon everything–my pack, my people- because you’re scared? That’s not who we are. We fight, we endure.”

“And for what?” I shot back. “What has this life ever given you besides pain? You lost your parents, your uncle, your brother. All because of these endless pack wars and ridiculous

traditions. When is enough, enough?”

He stared at me, his expression unreadable. “You don’t think I already ask myself that every day? But walking away doesn’t erase the past, and it doesn’t protect the people counting on me.”

“We are your responsibility too, Asher,” I said bitterly, my chest tightening. “And whether you admit it or not, your duty will always come before your family. I just wanted–just once–to

exist in a place where we didn’t have to constantly look over

our shoulders. But I guess that’s too much to ask.”

He exhaled heavily, dragging a hand down his face. “Look, I

know you’re afraid of what the Seer has to say. But running

Chapter140

isn’t the answer. So I’m giving you a choice–stay, face this with

me, or go and figure out what you really want.”

He turned and walked away, the sound of the door slamming

behind him echoing through the room.

And just like that, I had never felt more alone.

Violet’s POV

I watched him storm away.

I could just mindlink him, call him back, and tell him that it was

just the hormones making me lash out and I was sorry because

everything was weighing on me. But that would be a lie, a half-

truth at best.

The reality was, I didn’t know how to put into words the storm

raging inside me. I wanted to believe I was fine, but the

suffocating ache in my chest told me otherwise. I had been

pretending for so long that I was okay, but I wasn’t.

A sharp knock on the door pulled me from my spiraling

thoughts. At first, I thought it was Alexcoming back to talk

things through, but when the door creaked open, my heart

sank.

Chapter140

Philip.

I sighed, already exhausted by the conversation that was bound

to follow.

“And here I was, hoping to go a whole day without any more

surprises,” I said sarcastically.

My brother leaned against the doorframe, his arms crossed

over his chest. “I know you probably don’t want to see me but

Olivia told me what happened, and I figured it was time we

talked.”
