Hearing Camilla’s words, Jadeana pulled a long face and
clenched her fists, feeling utterly displeased.
Suppressing her anger, she threatened, “Don’t push it, Camilla.
You’re still Edward’s wife. What if you don’t get a divorce in the
end? Your interests will take the biggest hit when Kenny and
Pierson come back.”
Camilla wagged her right index finger in Jadeana’s face.
“Thanks for your concern, but I will get a divorce.”
With that, she turned around to leave.
Before she walked out of the main hall, she heard Jadeana’s
angry roar. “What the fuck is wrong with you, Edward? Have
you forgotten being beaten up last night? You know exactly
how upset the Lockhart family is! Why did you let this bitch in
and irritate Camilla? Do you wanna be beaten up again?
“We humbly pleaded with the Lockhart family last night and
even offered them an even bigger slice of the deal just so that
they could stop Camilla from divorcing you. And you? You
don’t give a shit and treat our efforts as nothing!”

Camilla was in a better mood after she heard this. She walked
out of the villa briskly, leaving them to deal with their own
mess.
At her bestie Daniela Jenkin’s winery, she met Ralph Obrien,
her divorce attorney.
As soon as they sat down, she cut to the chase.
“Mr. Obrien, I’ve already briefed you on the current situation on
WhatsApp last night. My request is simple–I want a divorce.
Our shared assets are basically wedding gifts from both sides,
and I want to leave with whatever my family gave me.””
Ralph handed her a legal opinion.
Then he said, “Mr. Paxton and you were in a relationship for
years. If you take your case to court and he still refuses to
divorce you, you’ll have to prove your marriage has broken
down irretrievably. As for your assets–you can transfer them
out discreetly. If he has any misconduct, you can even claim
compensation!“”
Camilla took a sip of her coffee, looking serious.
After pondering for a while, she asked, “Transfer the assets?
How?”

Ralph said, “Things like jewelry and bags mostly go to women in
divorce proceedings. To have a bigger shot at getting a divorce, you can allow and even indulge Mr. Paxton and Ms. Collin to
continue their inappropriate relationship during this time. It’d
be better if they actually did something that could be used as
proof!‘
After an afternoon’s consultation, Camilla had a general idea.
However, she still had some doubts. How could she fight back
while trapped in this marriage?
She didn’t think she’d just endure until the divorce. During this
time, what could she do to vent her anger and make their lives
miserable without overstepping legal boundaries?
She asked, “I wanna get under their skin before getting a
divorce. What can I do? I’m hoping that I can criticize them
while standing on the moral high ground and leave them with
nothing to say!”
Ralph mused, “I suggest an eye for an eye tactic. From what
you’ve said, I gather that Ms. Collin is a two–faced phony who’s
set to spite you. Maybe you can find a male friend who’s also
good at acting. This way, Mr. Paxton will be just as annoyed.
And of course, you mustn’t cross the line during this whole

time.”
