Third Person’s Point of View!!
Enzo’s eyes widened when Genevieve slumped down before him. He reached for the gun in his pocket and shot aimlessly in the shooter’s direction.
His men surrounded him in an instant, shielding him and firing back, but they were a bit late–the shooter had already shot his leg and arm twice.”
“Keep him alive. I need to know who’s behind this!” he ordered his men, then gave his attention back to Genevieve.”
“Babygirl! Babygirl! Can you hear me, babygirl?” he called, shaking her, but she didn’t move as her eyes remained tightly shut.”
“Quick, get my wife to the hospital!” he screamed.”
As if his men wouldn’t be fast enough, he scooped Genevieve into his arms and ran toward his car, not minding his wounded arm and leg.
“Doctor! Doctor! Doctor!” Enzo screamed like a madman the moment he arrived at the hospital.]
Upon seeing him covered in blood, with Genevieve lying limp in his arms, two nurses and a doctor rushed to him with a stretcher.
“Lay her here,” the doctor instructed.}
Enzo did as he was directed.
“Quick, take her to the ER,” the doctor told the nurses.}
Enzo wanted to rush after them, but the doctor stopped him.”
“You’re hurt too.” His eyes moved toward Enzo’s wounds. “Your wounds must be attended to immediately, or you’ll be disabled.“N “Don’t worry about me. Attend to my wife first,” Enzo argued.}]
“Think about your wife, sir. When she wakes up and finds out you got yourself disabled because of her, would she be happy?”
The doctor’s words sank in, and Enzo stopped resisting.}
*Just promise me you’ll do everything to save her–please,” he pleaded helplessly.
The doctor promised him. After a few seconds of staring at the retreating nurses as they pushed his unconscious wife away, he rushed off to get himself treated.

>Two Hours Later<
Enzo sat on a bench outside the ER, his eyes glued to the door as he impatiently waited for the doctor to come out with good news.
“Please, babygirl, don’t leave me alone,” he said, tears running down his face.
Just then, his parents rushed toward him. His mother was already crying and panicking. She pulled him into a hug when they neared him.
“Oh, my baby! I… I… I thought… I was so scared,” she cried on his shoulder.”
Enzo couldn’t console his mother, nor did he take his eyes off the ER door.}}
His mother pulled away and checked his face once more.
“I heard she was shot too, his father said, referring to Genevieve as “she.”
His words earned him a glare from Enzo. He sprang up, pushing his mother in the process, and grabbed his father’s shirt.
“Tell me, do you have anything to do with this? Are you behind this?” he asked with a deep frown.
“No, his father answered simply.”
“How can I believe you when you’ve openly told her that you don’t want her in our family? You even set her up by sending her to the Truck Park! How am I sure you’re not involved in this?!“}
His father sighed. “It’s true that I don’t want her in our family, and it’s true that I set her up, but I’m not involved in this, son.“>
Enzo looked him dead in the eyes and spoke in a low, dangerous tone.
“I won’t take any action for now. Just pray to whatever you believe in that she survives this–or I swear, I will forget you’re my father!” he snarled.
He walked away from his parents and leaned against the wall next to the door. Just at that moment, the doctor came out.
Enzo faced him immediately. “How is my wife?”
“Calm down, sir, the doctor began, but Enzo grabbed his shirt and pulled him close threateningly.
“It’s always bad news when you doctors start with that sentence. Just tell me–is my wife okay or not?“M
The doctor raised his hands, looking toward Enzo’s parents for help.
“Behave, Enzo! Let go of him and let him speak!” his mother cautioned him.
Not wanting to disobey his mother, he let go of the doctor.
“The bullet merely missed the patient’s heart by an inch. It wasn’t easy, but we’ve managed to extract the bullet…“)
‘Is she okay or not?!” Enzo growled, growing impatient.
“Her condition is stable now, but she’s in a coma, and it’s not certain when she’ll wake up. About her pregnancy–we’ve managed to keep it for now, but we don’t…”
10:09 AM
“My wife is pregnant?” Enzo interrupted, his face etched with surprise.N
“Yes. The pregnancy is only a week old and hasn’t properly formed yet, so we don’t know if her body can keep the baby after this,” the doctor explained.”
The door swung open, and the two nurses from earlier pushed a stretcher out with an unconscious Genevieve lying on it. Her face was pale and her lips dry, making her look almost lifeless.N
“I’m sorry, babygirl,” Enzo apologized as he held her hand. “Where are you taking her?” he asked, facing the doctor.N
“We’re transferring her to a ward,” the doctor answered.
“Sir?” one of the nurses called for Enzo’s attention. “Can you let go of her hand?“}]
He looked down and realized he was still holding onto Genevieve. “Oh, yes,” he quickly let go, and the nurses pushed her away.
*Please come with me, sir, for some paperwork.”
Enzo simply nodded. Just when he was about to follow the doctor, one of his men rushed toward him.>>
“Boss, we’ve informed your mother–in–law about the situation,” he reported.
Enzo’s brows furrowed. “Why did you inform her?”
“I thought you’d like to let her know.”
“You fool!” he gritted out. “She’ll be worrying and…” he closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. “Let’s go, doctor.”
