“Hey! You have to get up!” Drake said, banging on the door.
I opened my eyes for a second before shutting them again. I was still sleepy.
Feeling impatient. Drake pushed the door open and walked into the room. “I’m going to drag you out if that’s what it takes.”
he said.
1 sighed and sat up. “Have you decided what you are going to do with me?” I asked in a low voice.
Drake paused to look at me. He looked a little uneasy. “That’s up to him,” he said. “I’m only following orders here.”
I pursed my lips. “Can I just sleep for ten more minutes? It could be the last time I’m sleeping, right?”
Drake wore a weird look on his face. “Are you okay? You have been sleeping for three days straight!”
“What?” I sat up and looked at him. “Three days?”
Drake scoffed. “Get up now! He wants to talk to you.”
“Ooh.” I said, lowering my head. So, I had slept for that long? No wonder my belly was so empty.
And just like it had heard me, it growled. Drake looked at me awkwardly. “You didn’t let in anyone in the last three days. So…”
“I’m good.” I quickly spoke up. But I felt dizzy when I tried to stand up. “Um…. I’ll have a glass of water.”
After drinking the whole jug of water. I sighed. Water was better than not having anything at all, right?
“You’ll have something to eat once you talk to him.” Drake said. He didn’t seem so much against me like on my first day here. I nodded and quietly followed him out.
We went through so many corridors and doors that were heavily guarded. I had sweat on my forehead by the time we reached the main suite.
But I quickly lowered my head when I saw Tony. He was so many things opposite to what I had expected
When I decided to call him four days ago, I thought that it would be the end of my troubles, I didn’t expect that I was walking straight into something more difficult.
“Hey, just tell him what he wants to hear,” Drake whispered before standing by the door.
“Sir.” Tony said coldly, and I stole a look at him. Of course, he was still as cold as I had seen him four days ago.
I took a seat. After all, I was still feeling dizzy and weak. I pursed my lips and looked up to him. “I’m not a spy. I’m just a girl who thought would find some help if I called the number that my dad left before he died,” I said, almost in a whisper.
Tony, who hadn’t expected me to speak before being questioned looked at me in confusion. “Oh,” he said. “So, who are you?”
I sighed. “I am Kelly Carter,” I replied, this time, my eyes fixed on his

I was stunned for a second. I blinked before shaking my head. “No! I only had a brother.”

Tony was quiet for a long time, just staring back at me. “How would I know that you are his daughter?”
I hesitated for a second. “Because I called you,” I replied.
My reply shocked Tony. For a second, he just stared at me, as if he was deep in thoughts.

“I don’t trust you, he finally said, looking deeply into my eyes to see my emotions.

I only paused for a second before nodding my head. “I know,” I said. “But you can always give me time and learn the truth. Im tired of running. Can I stay just for a few days?”
Tony’s expression changed a little. It was like he pitied me.
“Everyone here works to live,” he said, his voice low.
I quickly nodded my head. “I will do anything.” I said, my eyes lowered. I would do anything, as long as it wasn’t running
Tony stared at me for a while longer and I felt a little uncomfortable..
Then he turned to Drake. “Assign her some tasks,” he stated.

“What did you mean by a snake in my lawn?” Tony suddenly spoke up. I froze in my steps.
I was silent for a while before shaking my head. “Nothing.” I said.
Tony pursed his lips. “It wasn’t nothing. Tell me,” He insisted.
Scared that he would change his mind and decide to kill me, I fidgeted. “Um. I was tired and scared. I just said the first thing that came to mind.” I said.
Luckily, Maya walked in. “I’ll take you to your post,” she said. Today, she was this saint. She had a smile on her face, making her look innocent and cute.
I felt a little confused. Had I been dreaming on my first day here? Why was everyone so nice today?
“Mm,” Tony grunted and went back to his files. I pursed my lips and followed Maya out,
For the first few weeks. I worked in the store. I cleaned the dishes, cleaned the floor, cut and chopped the vegetables, but never complained
And apart from Maya who was so cold to me when we were along, no one else bothered me much.
And today, when I was peeling the potatoes, I began shaking.
I froze in place because I seemed to understand what was happening to melt wasn’t new. It was just that I thought it was
Then, just like I thought, every inch of my body began aching. I dropped the knife and sat on the floor, trying so hard not to make a sound.
But just like in the past, I was in so much pain. I couldn’t keep a tear from falling

Suddenly, someone spoke from behind the shelf. I sat up in fear and nodded my head. “Yeah, I’m fine”
A young girl, slightly younger than me walked towards me. “You seem to be in pain,” she said.
I hadn’t seen the girl before. She looked somewhat classy. Who was she?
“Il be fine after a while.” I whispered and bit my teeth.
The girl seemed confused for a second. “You shouldn’t be working if you are unwell. Come on, I’ll take you to the dispensary.” she said and tried helping me up.
But I shook my head. “No, I can’t,” I said, I couldn’t leave my post”

“Can you do me a favor” I spoke up, looking at the girl with my red eyes. “Can you get me some painkillers?” The girl was silent for a while before nodding her head. “Sure,” she said and walked out.
But just a few minutes after she left. Maya walked in. “Hey! What are you doing on the floor?” She asked coldly.

Annie stomped into my suit; her face puffed up. “It’s not fair, you know,” she said..
I rubbed my brows. “What are you doing here, Little Sister? I told you not to come here.” I said, feeling frustrated. Even though the bunker seemed safe, I didn’t want her around just in case something happened.

I lifted her, in front of everyone and rushed towards the dispensary. “Someone tells Doctor Stone to prepare some. painkillers,” I said.
Everyone, especially Maya, seemed so shocked. They were probably wondering how I. Tony, who never even shook anyone hand, could carry that girl who was supposed to be the traitor.
Annie’s moods seemed to have suddenly improved. She grabbed her phone and snapped a quick photo. “Wow! This is going to shake mountains!” She smiled. But I didn’t bother with her at the moment.
I lay Kelly on the bed and began looking through the medicine shelf. “Advil!” I shouted the moment Dr. Stone rushed in. “Where is it?”
Even though Dr. Stone seemed confused, he grabbed a bottle of Advil and handed it to me.
But when he saw that I was ready to feed it to Kelly, he stopped me. “No! You don’t know what she’s suffering from…”
“I know,” I said bluntly and forced a pill into Kelly’s mouth. I then helped her drink some water.
Everyone was shocked again. “How do you know? It could be dangerous..”
“Master.” Drake said, making everyone turn to look at him. “Master had osteoarthritis. He took Advil…”
