Chapter 32 The Past
Ignoring Trystan’s sullen face, I continued to sneer, “Janet is cultured? She blatantly comes between you and me and openly tries to take you away from me, Trystan! What kind of
educational background makes us have such a big gap between

“Evie!” He grasped my hand with a sudden increase in force, and
he flew into such a rage that he gritted his teeth and forced the
words out one by one, “You’re lucky I don’t hit women.”
I smiled, trying to resist the pain of my wrist about to be
crushed, and looked at him. “How kind you are, Mr. Compton!
But could you please let go? It’s the same thing as hitting a
woman when you grip a woman’s hand like that.”
The veins in his forehead protruded with anger, but he shook
my hand away and said in a cold, angry voice, “How dare you
judge her? You have no right to do that!”
He turned coldly, emitting cold air all over.
I thought, “I have no right?” The original grievance and anger
were evoked by his words. I walked forward and pulled him,
looking at him with a half–smile. “You are right! Compared to
Janet’s hypocrisy, I am too innocent! I don’t like hypocrisy as
you guys, which not only disgusts myself but also others.”
With that, I ignored the anger in his eyes and returned to the
restaurant. Janet and Peter were still sitting where they were.
Seeing me go in again, Janet still wore a fake smile and said in a
pretentious manner, “Evie…”
I gave her a cold look and poured all the food we had ordered

down from her head without scruples.
Before she could react, I said, “Janet, I don’t know why you like to get other people’s things so badly, why you always pretend to be weak to ask for attention, and why you like to play dirty tricks behind others‘ backs so much, but I still want to warn you that you play in the dirt, you get dirty.
“If you like second–hand goods so much, I’ll do as you wish. To tell you the truth, it’s true I like Trystan, but now I just feel sick about a man like him who cheats on his wife. Please spend more time with him recently, lest he is not satisfied and goes for
someone else! That will be so disgusting!”
“Evie!” There was a voice of rage at the restaurant door.
I turned a blind eye to it and thought, “Who cares? Compared to
them, who did the disgusting deeds behind my back, at least I
did things aboveboard.””
With that, I turned straight out of the restaurant, passing by
Trystan at the door. He took my wrist, and I finally lost my
temper and bowed my head to bite his hand.
I thought he would let go, but to my surprise, he violently picked me up and then simply threw me into the car. Then he
started the car.
Chapter 32 The Past
The car was hurtling along the way, making me sick to my
stomach.
Fortunately, it didn’t take long for the car to stop, but before I could let out a sigh of relief, I was pulled up and carried into the
villa.
Trystan was in such a rage that he carried me to the bedroom
fleetingly.
Bang! The slamming of the door seemed to make the whole villa
tremble.
“Let me go, Trystan! Are you out of your mind?” I panicked in my heart and blurted out what was on my mind bluntly.
He sneered, pinched my chin hard to shut my mouth, and stared
at me violently and coldly. “I am out of my mind? I cheated on
you? I disgust you?”
The strength of his grip increased. His dark eyes were deeply
fixed on me, and his voice was cold. “Evie, you surprised me!”
I couldn’t breathe and kept kicking him hard with my feet. Even
if I couldn’t say anything, I didn’t want to admit defeat. In my
eyes, a quick death was better than long–lasting suffering.
eyes, a quick death was better than long–lasting suffering.
We stared at each other in our eyes viciously.
For a long time, I couldn’t breathe and felt dizzy due to lack of oxygen. I felt as if he wanted to strangle me!
In a moment, he released me, and as soon as I was free and
wanted to take a breath, he leaned over and sealed my lips with
his.
At this point, I was completely unable to move and was filled with anger. “Trystan, that’s all you got. A man who bullies a
woman is no hero.”
He sneered, his dark eyes red.
I panicked in my heart, looking at his cruel and surly eyes, my voice trembling, “You can’t do this to me, Trystan!”
He put his hands at my sides and kissed me.
I was frowning in pain, panicking and confused. “You will
regret it, Trystan!”
He just gave a little pause, his voice low and hoarse, “Be good,
and I will be gentle!”
“Bastard!” I thought.
I completely collapsed for a time, and the grievances
accumulated for a long time broke out completely at this
moment.
Tears poured down like heavy rain, from a small sob to a final wailing, with no regard for how Trystan felt.
He finally stopped, comforting me in a hoarse voice. However, the more he talked, the louder I cried.
Finally, he could only take me in his arms to appease me, from gentle coaxing to loud intimidation, but all this didn’t work.
I couldn’t stop crying, and he had no choice but to hold me in his
arms and let me cry.
After a long time, my voice became hoarse and I ran out of tears. I finally began to quiet down.
“Enough crying?” He spoke, his voice low and hoarse.
I did not say a word, and my eyes hurt too much to open, so I kept silent, ignoring him.
“Four years ago, I was taking Grandpa to the southwest border to meet his comrade–in–arms, and we ran into a bunch of outlaws on the way!” He put his arms around me and suddenly spoke in a melancholy and sad voice than I had ever heard
Not knowing what he was going to say, I simply kept silent, staying in his arms and listening to him. He continued to speak, “It was poor in the border regions, and materials were scarce there. At that time, there were wars in several border countries as well. Those outlaws, to seek refuge, broke into the home of Grandpa’s old buddy in the army, trying to threaten us to bring them into this country. According to the law, undocumented people are not allowed to enter the country. As a veteran guarding the country for decades, Grandpa naturally would not deliberately break the law, so he immediately chose to die rather than obey. When the outlaws saw that Grandpa didn’t approve, they tried to kill him. Grandpa’s comrade–in–arms died from protecting Grandpa and me.”
