Booki Chapter11
“He’s not going to eat me.” I laughed smoothing back his hair. “What does he want?” He pouted. I bit my lip and stared at his opened door. Should I tell him? No. I have to make sure Caleb won’t hurt them. “He just wanted to say hi.” I whispered leaning my forehead against his.
I started humming a song and before I knew it he was fast asleep. “I love you baby.” I whispered kissing his forehead and tucking him in. I turned off his lights and left the room door slightly opened.

“Are you my dad?” Zoey whispered. I froze and leaned against the wall. “I… I’ll tell you later, sweetheart.” His voice whispered back to her. “You’re coming back then?” She asked hopefully. “I hope I do.”
“You will. My mommy likes you.” She giggled. I smiled and shook my head.
“Zoe did you do what I said?” I smiled walking in. My heart skipped a beat at the view in front of me. Caleb was on her bed with her. His arm holding her to his chest protectively, while the other held her fairy tale book. It was truly a Kodak moment.
“Yes mommy!” She grinned. “Are you mad at me?” She whispered looking up at me from under her dark lashes. I frowned and kneeled next to her. “About what sweetie?”
“When I went into the woods.” She said nervously picking at her pink blanket. I glanced up at Caleb to find his eyes on me. I blushed and turned back to Zoey. “No I’m not baby. But you had us worried sick. Don’t ever go into the woods alone again, understand.” She quickly nodded and leaned over to wrap her small hands around my neck. “I love you mommy.”
“I love you too.” I smiled before tucking her in. I kissed her forehead and watched as Caleb did the same. “Will you be here in the morning?” Zoe asked yawning. He smiled down at her and glanced at me. “Probably not Princess, but you will be seeing a lot more of me.” She smiled and drifted off to sleep.
Silence enveloped us as we walked out of her room. “Where’s joey?” I bit my lip to keep in the smile as I remembered what joey thought of Caleb. “He’s asleep.” I said pointing to Joey’s door. He walked over and opened the door. He sighed and leaned against the door before walking back to me.
“C…coffee?” I stuttered getting lost in his eyes once again. He nodded and followed me to my kitchen. I grinned finding my cabinet filled with coffee. “Thank you Jake.” I mumbled grinning.
“What’d you say?” Caleb growled from behind me. His hot breath hitting my neck. He smelled like chocolate. I bit my lip to keep in the
moan.
“You’re not Jacob’s.” He breathed. “YOU.ARE.MINE!” He whispered harshly, pushing me against the counter so I was pinned between him and the cold counter.
I threw my head back and let out a soft moan. Heat pooled around my thighs as he kissed down my neck. “Say my name.” He growled desperately. “Say it.” He growled biting the spot where his mark used to be.
“Caleb.” I moaned biting my lip. I had to keep reminding myself that my kids were sleeping in the same house. My kids…
“Caleb… Caleb we need
stop, please.” I breathed turning to face hint: He growled lowly and continued to kiss down my neck pausing
where his mark used to be.
“Why?” He whispered leaning his forehead against my chest. “The kids–no, why’d you leave me.” He interrupted.
I breathed in and tried to get my heartbeat to slow down. But it was near impossible now as he kissed my chest, where my heart was. “You hurt me.” I mumbled cautiously running my hand through his dark locks. “I hurt you…. I hurt you.” He scoffed before pushing away from me.
I felt cold and empty, I craved him. I felt like a drug addict. “You took my kids Ariana!” He whispered shouted. “You weren’t ready.” I muttured wrapping my arms around myself. “Who are you to decide if I was ready or not! You… you didn’t even give me a chance.” He hissed.
I could feel my anger bubbling up. “Remember my last day at school. The last day you saw me.” He slowly nodded. “I thought… after the other day.. the way you kissed me. I thought you cared!” I cried. He cringed but stood with his head held high.
“That day I went to go tell you.” Immediately his posture changed. “Imagine my surprise when I got called a whore I’m front of the entire pack!” I spat. He moved closer to hold me put I held my arm up. “Don’t. You came so we could talk about the twins. That’s what we’re going to do.” I said emotionlessly putting back the coffee and walked to the kitchen table, making sure not to touch him.
“What do you want to know?” I asked bluntly. “They’re five right?” I nodded “They look older because of the Alpha blood.” He nodded and looked into my eyes. I continued to keep my eyes and face emotionless, but deep down I was hurting. Emotions from five years ago
