Xander was in disbelief when he heard Mary’s words. He turned around and snatched the paper from her hands.
Divorce Agreement, it said.
“No way! How could Sharon want a divorce from me?”
Shaking his head. Xander called out toward the villa, “Sharon? Sharon! Where are you?”
He searched every corner, upstairs and downstairs, but couldn’t find a trace of me.
Feeling anxious, he immediately called his assistant Derek Novak, instructing him to track down gwerthe outs.

Xander sat on the sofa, restless, shaking his leg anxiously.
With his head hanging low in regret, he murmured, “Sharon must be angry with me and ran away from home. It’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have yelled at her this morning…”
He pulled out his phone and sent me a message, only to be met with a red exclamation mark.
His heart clenched with pain, but he refused to give up and dialed my
number.
Yet, as expected, none of the calls went through.
Unable to contact me, Xander let out a frustrated sigh as he sat on the
sofa.

Unlike him, Cathy was brimming with joy.
She believed that as long as I was gone, she could take my place and become Mrs. Cooper.
But she knew she couldn’t show it.
Hiding her intentions, Cathy softly consoled, “Xander, don’t worry. Maybe Sharon is just upset for now and will come back soon.”
Xander didn’t respond. Suddenly, as if realizing something, he snatched Cathy’s phone and tried calling me.
But I was already on the plane, and my phone was in airplane mode. There was no way I could answer.
Seeing this, Cathy started to bitch about me, “But really, Sharon had gone too far. It was no big deal. Every married couple fights now and then.

“Enough!” Xander suddenly roared, cutting her off. His voice was cold. “Sharon is not for you to talk about. Everyone has their own temper.
“Just go and take care of the child.”
With that, Xander didn’t spare her another glance and turned to his study.
Cathy couldn’t see his expression, but from his tone, she knew he was
angry.
She had meant to stand by his side and reason on his behalf, yet unexpectedly, she ended up being scolded.
In all the time she had been with Xander, he had only spoken to her so harshly twice.

The first time was shortly after she had given birth and lost her sight. After an intimate moment, Xander held her and said, “Even though you gave birth to my child, the only woman in my heart is Sharon. Now and forever, my wife will only be her.

She impatiently tried to soothe the child.

Derek hesitantly replied, “I’m sorry, Boss. It seems that someone
deliberately covered up her tracks. We haven’t found her yet. We’re doing our best, but we need more time.”
Xander’s voice turned cold. “You’d better find her soon. Otherwise, you’ll be fired.”
He hung up and continued waiting anxiously.
