Chapter 10
A few hours later, the plane safely landed in Seahaven.
As soon as Hailey stepped out of the boarding gate, she saw her family waiting at the door and quickened her pace.
From a distance, Austin saw the bandage wrapped around her hand and quickly went forward to take the luggage, his eyes filled with
concern.
“How did you get injured again? And you didn’t even tell your family?”
Hailey’s parents also saw it, and their faces fell as well. They carefully examined the injury.
“Does it hurt? If something happens, you should tell Mom and Dad so that we can come and pick you up.”
“The package is so tightly wrapped, it is likely that the injury is severe. Let’s not eat for now, and go to the hospital immediately!”
After being injured for so long, Hailey was cared for by someone for the first time. The suppressed grievances and sadness in her heart could no longer be held back and turned into tears, flowing down.
When the daughter cried, Madam Lewis also welled up with tears, and the father and son became anxious. They immediately took out their phones and started contacting the doctor.
Watching everyone worry about her, Hailey also felt a bit embarrassed. She wiped her tears and tried to comfort them, choking back sobs.
“Dad, Mom, brother, I was fine, not seriously injured, just haven’t seen you for a long time, I miss you.”
Upon hearing this, the three individuals finally let go of their worries.
Austin touched her head, his tone full of displeasure.
“Who made you run so far? After graduating, you refused to come back no matter what, and now you realize the value of home?”
Seeing her son showing off his authority as an older brother again, Madam Lewis raised her hand and immediately grabbed his ear, while walking and lecturing him.
The weather that you were talking about all day yesterday, worried that the plane would be delayed, Hails came back today, and you started pretending again? If only you cared a little more about your sister, didn’t she come back early?
Watching Austin getting beaten, Hailey instantly burst into laughter.
The dark clouds that had lingered in her heart for a long time gradually dissipated under the care of her family.
Her mood was as warm as the summer sun outside.
Brilliant beyond compare.
Because Hailey was complaining that she was hungry, the family went home and had dinner first.
I don’t know if it was because her mood improved or if the food at home was particularly delicious, but she ate half more than usual for this meal.
After dinner, she felt a little tired and was about to go back to the bedroom to rest, but Austin insisted on taking her out.
“Mom and dad instructed that you go see a doctor to have your injury properly checked. They will only feel relieved when you do so. So, just obediently come with me.”
He moved out of his parents‘ house, and Hailey had no choice but to yawn and get on the car.
Along the way, the siblings chatted about trivial family matters, and Hailey slowly regained consciousness.
She looked at the increasingly deserted street scene outside the window, searching her memory in her mind, hesitating to speak.
“Is this the way to the hospital?”

“Who told you to go to the hospital? I am going to take you to see a doctor, and it’s not just any ordinary doctor at the hospital, you
know.”
As soon as Hailey heard it, she knew that her brother had relapsed into his old habit.
It was probably his friend who had returned from studying abroad. He was very proud of it and insisted on showing off in front of her.
And Austin did not disappoint her, listing off a long list of titles for this doctor.
The youngest medical professor, the pioneer of what discipline, and all sorts of messy reports were made.
Hailey gave a respectful exclamation and then, in Austin’s proud gaze, deliberately asked him.
“Bro, why is your friend so mature and influential at such a young age, while you, at the age of twenty–seven, still get scolded by your
mom?”
Just as he arrived at his destination, Austin parked the car and was about to turn around to give his sister a good scolding for irritating
him as soon as she came back.
He turned his head and saw the person waiting at the door, and a bright smile appeared on his face.
“You used to find me sharp–tongued, but when you meet someone later, remember to treat them equally. I want to see who will win
when the two of us argue with our mouths.”
